Ivana Trump leaves Florida condo worth over $1M to ex-nanny while Donald Trump receives NOTHING
UPPER EAST SIDE, NEW YORK: Ivana Trump, the ex-wife of Donald Trump, gave a $1 million-plus property in Florida to her former nanny. Dorothy Curry, who worked for the Trump family for decades. The former nanny received Ivana's Florida condo worth over $1 million while the former US president received nothing. Ivana left behind a $34 million estate when she passed away in July of last year. She gave her children Ivanka, Eric, and Donald Trump, Jr a $26.5 million townhouse in New York City. An Olympic athlete, socialite, and fashion model, Ivana had a net worth of $100 million at the time of her death.
In her 2017 book 'Raising Trump', Ivana wrote that Curry started as a nanny "with a sparkle in her eye and plenty of nervous energy." Curry taught the Trump kids prayers that Ivana did not understand. "I can't say that religion plays a large role in my life now," Ivana wrote in her book, according to Forbes which reported on the contents of probate records. "But I'm glad the children grew up talking to God." As per probate records, the former nanny lived in a middle-class apartment building in Queens, but it is not clear whether she still resides there. It is also expected that Curry will receive Ivana's dog, a Yorkshire named Tiger Trump.

Ivana's long-time assistant Curry, who later worked for the Trump family, was greatly admired by the Trump family. In his mother's book, Eric Trump described Curry as his "second mother" and recalled their time together in Ireland. "She's raised me since I was a baby, and we are incredibly close—inseparable. I love her immensely. She's a big, and very important, part of our family," he said in the book, The Federalist reported.
However, Ivana Trump later said she and Donald Trump were "best friends" and supported his presidential campaign. “Donald and I are the best of friends and together have raised three children that we love and are very proud of,” Ivana told in a statement to CNN in 2015. “I have nothing but fondness for Donald and wish him the best of luck on his campaign. Incidentally, I think he would make an incredible president,” the statement added.
The New York City Chief Medical Examiner ruled that Ivana died from "blunt impact injuries to the torso" sustained during an accidental fall at her Manhattan house. Police reported that she was pronounced dead at the scene after first responders found her unresponsive at the bottom of a staircase at her house. According to the Associated Press at the time, which cited two persons familiar with the situation, the police were looking into whether or not she could have suffered her fatal injuries after falling down a staircase. It was unclear if Trump had heart conditions that may have contributed to the fall or whether the cardiac arrest report was responsible for her demise.
