What was the allegation?
According to an online forum post, an anonymous user accused “a female idol who was born in 2000 and has straight shoulders” for using violent methods in school and bullying a classmate. The user claimed that the idol borrowed money from the user’s classmate and didn’t return, manipulated another person and made that person an outcast, and later the idol with her group of friends bullied the ones who asked for the money back.
The accusatory post also claimed that the anonymous accuser made a post on an online community page after hearing about the idol’s debut in a big agency, and was sued for defamation.
Truth behind the rumors
JYP Entertainment stated, "This matter is completely false, and we relay our plans to push further charges regarding the matter and also take strong legal action against any deeds that defame our artists and cause disruption to their promotions through such things like malicious comments and spreading false rumors.”
'Leave my princess alone'
Fans have shared that it was Lia herself who was bullied in school, hence the accusation doesn’t make much sense. A user stated, “They really accuse the girl that has been bullied online since her trainee days as a bully, doesnt make sense…” Another stated, “The way these knetz are accusing mostly idols who are harrassed/bullied by knetz on vlive and social medias!” A fan shared, “Lia has a lot of friends in kpop industry and you're telling me she can do that??? Bullsh*t leave my princess alone !!”
