Is this the REAL Meghan Markle? 'Hostile' interview resurfaces, expert says 'mask slipped'
A body language expert has accused Meghan Markle of being hostile after he unearthed an old interview of her promoting ‘Suits’ before she met Prince Harry. Jesus Enrique Rosas suggested that the 2016 video of the Duchess of Sussex showed her true nature as he called it Meghan's “mask slip”.
Rosas presented his analysis on his YouTube page – ‘The Body Language Guy’ – while reviewing the interview that showed Meghan speaking with host Ruben Jay in 2016 ahead of a mid-season premiere of her show. And as Jay mixed up his question cards while talking to her, she seemed to give several weird expressions in a few seconds.

Commenting on it, the expert said, “When an analyst spots a compound expression, you have to judge, what is the correct word to define what you are seeing? This is because compound expressions can have any kind of facial combination. In this case, my personal take on it is that I see hostility.”
Rosas went on to say: “The next change comes when she turns to see the camera, which could be seen as her resting face. It's not hard to spot that Meghan has a very intense gaze, or at least that's the look she wants to give the camera. She tries to play friendly by rising her eyebrows, and show goodwill to the interviewer. Clenching the jaw, most of the time, is trying to release stress. Does it mean that Meghan is angry all the time? Maybe not.”
He then explained that the mother-of-two “has adapted that jaw clenching as a bad habit… But if she adopted this as a bad habit, it's because at some point, she had these intense bouts of emotions that required that facial escape. You have to look at all of [Meghan's expressions] like a system, and it's much easier if you reduce expressions to their easiest meanings. One, she has a hard time showing genuine smiles. Two, she has a hard time hiding her tension, that might be anger or frustration. And three, she looks like she wants to have control of the narrative because she seems too affected by the man talking.”
“Despite how distracting or confusing that might be - Meghan was upset and she was doing a very bad job of hiding it. Later in the interview, she grabbed the man's cards and she even gets upset when he looks at someone over her shoulder,” Rosas added.
On the other hand, Sarah Ferguson has talked positively about Meghan in an interview on Tuesday, December 14. Speaking on the Italian talk show, ‘Porta a Porta’, the Duchess of York said that the former actress makes Harry happy. She stated, “The most important thing—and I know Diana, if she were here, would say that—is they are happy. And she makes him happy. And I love to see that little boy that cried at the funeral to have happiness now.”
Earlier, she had told PEOPLE that she knew Diana since she was a teenager, “We were best friends from when she was 14 and I was 15. She would be very proud of her sons and their wives. And she would be just like me, obsessed with her grandchildren. Because that's what she loved.”
