Meghan Markle upset after backlash over Ellen appearance: 'She's taken to indoors'
Meghan Markle is said to be "disappointed" with the reaction to her recent visit to 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show'. Markle took part in one of DeGeneres' trademark prank bits on her comeback to television, agreeing to do anything the comedian asked her to do. Royal analyst Neil Sean argues that they did not expect the whole exercise to go wrong.
The Meghan who appeared on the Ellen Show was far different from the lady who appeared on TV in March, speaking to Oprah Winfrey about her hardships as a former senior working royal at the time. Last week on the Ellen Show, DeGeneres stated that it was Markle who asked her whether she pranked any of the vendors who sell products near the studio. DeGeneres put an earphone on Markle and told her to eat a piece of biscuit in a comical manner to create cat noises and other things. Everyone on set appeared to be having a wonderful time, but Markle's detractors apparently were not.

Sean claimed in his newest YouTube video, "Meghan is apparently taken to indoors as we say over here in the UK because she's so upset about the backlash she received after appearing on the show. Even Prince Harry agreed that showcasing her playful side was a smart idea. They should have gone on together, it would have been so much fun. Unfortunately for Meghan, this did not turn out to be the case."
Thomas Markle Sr., Markle's father, called his daughter's appearance on the Ellen Show a "dumb stunt". “It’s no way to behave. The whole thing was kind of embarrassing. It was certainly embarrassing for the royal family. It’s embarrassing for her as well. I suspect it embarrassed everyone in the UK, too. She’s putting herself out there as a duchess but I’ve never seen a duchess behave this way, doing stupid stunts,” Thomas told Sunday Mirror.
On YouTube, the spoof sketch starring Markle did not receive positive feedback. Many people thought it wasn't humorous, while others thought DeGeneres was exploiting Markle. "The second-hand shame reached new heights. Who in their right mind would think this was amusing, much alone a smart idea? Is Meghan that thirsty for attention that she'll do everything to get it?" On YouTube, someone inquired. "This is very humiliating. This demonstrates to me that MM thought it was amusing but didn't realize what Ellen was doing to her". Another person wrote, "Her desire to be well-liked and well-known appears to have impaired her judgement. I think it's a pity."
