MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN: Patti LaBelle was escorted out of the venue by security guards during her concert Friday, December 9, at the Riverside Theater in Milwaukee. The reason was a bomb threat received by the Milwaukee Police Department. The 78-year-old LaBelle was speaking to the audience when two security guards rushed to the stage and removed the singer from the stage. Before that, she can be seen saying to the security guards, "Wait, hold up!"

However, the video shared by a concertgoer shows one of the security guards whispering the theme to her, Daily Mail reports. In the shared video, the 78-year-old can be seen talking to a fan who hands her a bouquet of roses. At that point, two men in black suits entered the stage to remove the artist. After the security guard explained the situation to her, she dropped the bouquet and shakily tried to put her microphone back on the mic stand. Fans are now worried about the singer because the video was released.

Meanwhile, the band also followed the securities and abandoned their station. However, once LaBelle left the stage it panicked the concert-goers. Milwaukee Police Department stated in an official statement, "Regarding the bomb threat in the 100 block of W.Wisconsin, all patrons have been safely evacuated. Police are clearing the facility at this time. The investigation is ongoing and fluid. Captain Warren E Allen Jr, Milwaukee Police Department, Night watch commander, 749 W state street, Milwaukee, WI 53233."

In another video tweeted by a concertgoer, we can hear them saying, "We do not know if we go back inside to the venue. It is up to the Riverside Theater if we can go back inside,' she added in the video, which she tweeted at 9.49 pm Milwaukee time. 'But right now, everything's on halt."

As the news about the threat broke, fans started showing concerns regarding the singer's health and safety. LaBelle is also a type 2 diabetes patient who collapsed on stage in 1994. In an interview with Daily Times, she said how she took care of her health from then. She said, “I realized I couldn’t eat some of the foods I loved anymore,” she says. “I stopped with cheesecake, fried chicken, those things." Further, she added, “It’s easy with diabetes. You just have to get out of your mind about that cheesecake and butter. It’s very hard for a woman who travels,” she noted.
