'So happy to see you pregnant!': Maya Vander leaves 'Selling Sunset' fans confused with post showing baby bump
MIAMI, FLORIDA: Maya Vander, the star of Netflix's 'Selling Sunset', took to Instagram in December 2021 to announce that she had a stillbirth. Despite knowing, she couldn't have prevented the loss, Maya told PEOPLE in 2022 that she wished she had listened to her gut instinct because she couldn't help but blame herself.
In December 2021, the mother of two turned to social media to announce that she had given birth to her son Mason at 38 weeks pregnant. Six months later, Maya miscarried her second child at 10 weeks. When Maya began to notice less movement during her pregnancy, she scheduled a private ultrasound, which revealed Mason had a perfectly normal heartbeat. Maya said at the time that she was relieved to get this information, but that something still didn't feel right. Although Maya is still grieving the losses, she hopes to give a sibling to her son Aiden and daughter.

Is Maya Vander pregnant?
The US Sun exclusively reported that Maya is nine months pregnant. Maya is expecting her third child after giving birth to a stillborn boy in 2021 and miscarrying another child six months later when 10 weeks pregnant.
Maya confessed exclusively to The Sun, "I am 9 months pregnant, and I'm expecting a baby girl any day now." "It's exciting," she remarked, adding, "But also this time around I have more fears and more concerns given the last circumstances. I kept quiet on social media because I lost a baby when I was nine months pregnant in the past."
Following her devastating losses, the 'Selling Sunset' alum explained her process of trying to conceive. "I know it's hard to understand why I would bother to get pregnant again, but I had a huge void to fill. I stayed calm and positive," she continued. "I'm very lucky and thankful for my kids. It was just something that was missing. No one expects to lose a child and give birth to a stillborn. I hope my story will inspire other women going through any loss," Maya said.
'Too busy being happy for this beautiful baby bump!'
On May 4, 2023, Maya headed to Instagram to reveal a new listing in Miami, and she was dressed in all black from head to toe. Although she has yet to make an announcement to her fans and followers, the soon-to-be mother-of-three was unable to conceal her pregnancy in the body-hugging attire.
Fans, who have witnessed her journey to motherhood over the years, didn't wait for any official announcement to shower their love and blessings. One wrote, "❤️❤️❤️❤️do I see a lovely bump 🤰🏼." Another person chimed in, "So happy to see you pregnant!" One user quipped, "I see something❤️❤️❤️❤️🤰🏼🤰🏼." A fourth person commented, "No one cares about the property, we`are all too busy being happy for this beautiful baby bump!!! Wishing you many blessings ❤️😍😍😍."
However, not everyone is following the same sentiments as they believe it is not appropriate to assume something until there's an official announcement from the person concerned. One wrote, "It’s never ok to assume a pregnancy and especially when someone has had a loss. Wait until a pregnancy is announced before congratulating!"
While another added, "I really don't think it's appropriate to be commenting regarding whether she is pregnant or not. If she is I'm sure she'll announce it when she feels it's appropriate and not before." One comment read, "Unless someone announces their pregnancy it's rude to assume.... Especially if that lady has had a previous loss! Maybe you have to go through this to respect boundaries but these comments hurt my heart. Even when you think your being nice sometimes it's just best not to comment at all. 💙."
Given the fact that the video and comments were released hours before Maya confirmed her pregnancy, fans can now joyously take a moment to congratulate the expecting mother on her new adventure!
