Addressing recent rumors of her leaving the Oppenheim Group and stepping away from ‘Selling Sunset’, Maya Vander let fans know that she is here to stay. On Tuesday, August 25, Vander said to People Magazine, “No, I'm not leaving. I'm staying with Jason [Oppenheim].” Jason is the President and Founder of the brokerage firm, the Oppenheim Group.

The celebrity real estate agent said that despite being a full-time mom to two kids at home in Miami, she’s still very much a part of the high-end real estate brokerage around which the hit Netflix reality show is centered. “I'm actually working with a few potentials, very good clients with him in L.A. Just focusing on Miami a lot, but I have a couple of pretty interesting clients that I might have to make the trip to L.A. for.” As is depicted in ‘Selling Sunset’, Vander often travels between Miami, where her family is, and L.A. for work.

Only days ago, Christine Quinn, the outspoken real estate agent on ‘Selling Sunset’, revealed that Brett Oppenheim decided to break off from the Oppenheim Group, which he ran with his twin brother, Jason Oppenheim, and start anew. “Brett has left to start his own brokerage,” Quinn said in a recent interview with Glamour UK. Reportedly, Brett is now listed as the president and broker of Oppenheim Real Estate, a seemingly distinct entity from The Oppenheim Group.

Vander told People Magazine that she has no idea why Quinn thought she might be leaving. Quinn reportedly implied on an episode of the podcast ‘Too Tired To Be Crazy with Violet Benson’ that Vander was leaving. In the episode, Benson asked Quinn, “I heard, supposedly, somebody is leaving the show?” Quinn responded, “Brokerage, she’s leaving the brokerage,” mimicking Vander’s Israeli accent. “Ohhh, Maya?” Benson confirmed, to which Quinn answered, “yeah, I think so.”

Despite not leaving the group, Vander said that she isn't sure to what extent she will be involved in a potential season 4 of ‘Selling Sunset’. She said, “If I can be involved with season 4 somehow, I'll be involved with it, but I just have to take it as it comes because I don't know even when we're going to film. I don't know what they have in mind and I haven't talked to production yet.”

“I don't know if it would be in the same capacity,” she added, noting that her business in Florida was picking up. She said, “I would have to figure out how to manage it all with two little children.”

But that’s not the only alleged rumor spread by Quinn that Vander shut down. About Brett’s departure, Quinn had said, “The girls are fed up with the favoritism of Mary in the office, we don’t know who will move where.” An important arc in seasons 2 and 3 of ‘Selling Sunset’ has been an ongoing allegation that Jason gave more listings to Mary Fitzgerald with whom he was previously involved. She added, “It may be the battle of the brokerages! I think season 4 is going to be the juiciest season ever.”

Per Vander, Brett did leave to start his own brokerage. However, she said that the twins were still on good terms. “They are very similar personalities, so they still work on some stuff together, I know that for a fact,” she said. “They get along very, very well. There's nothing bad over there.”

“Brett and Jason are in a very great place now, and I think they are actually going to collaborate on some stuff,” she said. “So that's the comment I can tell you, but none of us are leaving to [go to] Brett's.”

Seasons 1-3 of ‘Selling Sunset’ are available for viewing on Netflix.
