LAS VEGAS, NEVADA- Katy Perry's recent performance at her Las Vegas 'Play' concert has left the fans in a frenzy. The singer suffered a mid-concert eye “glitch” that has led the fans to believe a conspiracy theory that Perry might actually be a robot. During the performance, Perry struggled to keep her right eye open.

According to Page Six, the 38-year-old pop star tried pressing her finger against her temple in an effort to keep her eyelid from closing. The 'Teenage Dream' singer somehow managed to raise her eyelid and kept both eyes wide open for several moments.

Perry then blinked before asking the crowd to make some noise for her band. The video of the same has gone viral on social media and has received mixed reactions from people.

One Twitter user said, "I don’t listen to her music but .. it looks like the Katy Perry robot is malfunctioning .. or is it the 76 booster shots." A second user said, "It's confirmed with my own eyes that Katy Perry is a robot sent to take over the world." A third chimed in, "Why is Not EVERYONE talking about the @katyperry eye glitch malfunction!? Freaking bizarre. We want answers Katy." A fourth commented, "That Katy Perry glitch thing freaked me out. Can we not ignore that."

Another added, "Man, I saw this video last night of Katy Perry like glitching out and I’m now onboard with the 'Katy Perry is a robot' conspiracy theory."

However, some believed that this should not be taken too seriously and were unconvinced with the 'robot' theory. One user said, "She’s literally just pulling the skin near her eyes to pull apart her lashes that got stuck together. Now people are gonna be like see she’s a robot for the hidden cabal that eats babies. Wtf they need a Katy Perry for?!!"

A second user said, "You guys, Katy Perry probably just had eyelash glue stuck to her lower lid. Stop making us look bad with your far fetched reaches." A third added, "Just seen a video of Katy Perry's eyelash glue giving her trouble and the conspiracists are losing their minds. Even when I was in that world the clone/robot celebrity stuff was too far fetched for me, we can't even come up with an energy source that doesn't burn the planet."

Meanwhile, Perry recently celebrated her 38th birthday on Tuesday, October 25, with her partner, Orlando Bloom. Sharing a picture of the two, Bloom wrote, "Each time we take a trip around the sun and get to celebrate you, I’m reminded that on this journey together and whatever the weather I’m always smiling." Just recently, it was reported that the couple is "back on track" after their relationship hit the rocks, delaying their wedding plans, a source claimed.

The 'Dark Horse' hitmaker and 'The Outpost' actor, 45, were apparently strained by career commitments owing to their increasingly busy schedules, the insider said, adding that it was hard for the couple to "balance work and family" until they sought therapy sessions that helped them realize that "if they were going to make it, they would have to compromise."
