BTS Jungkook may drop his mixtape temporarily tilted ‘JJK1’ soon and it can be as early as today. After updating Jungkook’s profile picture earlier with BTS’ V and updating both the singer’s bio, Apple Music has added Jungkook’s cover of ‘10000 hours’ to the music platform making fans super excited as they can feel the mixtape dropping date is coming sooner. Here are all the details we know of the mixtape release.

Release date

New music is usually released by K-pop singers on Friday at 6 pm KST (4 am ET). Jungkook’s profile was updated with a new song cover, which is prompting fans to believe that the mixtape may just release on January 15. A fan wrote, “jungkook’s cover “10000 hours” is now on his apple music profile. profile photo changed, added a bio, and now this. jjk1 is coming real soon... oh and btw new music is usually released during fridays.. at 6pm kst. and today is friday :) i’m just sayin!”

What we know so far

Jeon Jungkook has been making fans wait for the much-anticipated mixtape since 2018 when he first talked about the mixtape dropping in a Buzzfeed interview. Later, the Grammy-nominated K-pop supergroup member said in the Map of the Soul: Persona conference,  "I’m not at the level of skill yet where I can release a mixtape on my own. I’ll practice more and try harder”. After that, the ‘My Time’ crooner also talked about the process of making a mixtape in a Vlive where he shared, "I’m also working hard, producing. At first, I wanted to share it right after the break ended, but I wasn’t pleased with it." 

One of the ‘Euphoria’ crooner’s track from the mixtape ‘Stay’was added in BTS’ latest album ‘BE’ where his group member BTS V aka Kim Taehyung shared that he listened to the track and was really impressed by it, so he persuaded the ‘Still with You’ singer to put it in the BTS’ record-breaking album.
