'Someone please check that man's heart': Fans appalled as Pedro Pascal's Starbucks drink tag reveals whopping dose of caffeine
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Pedro Pascal prefers his coffee extra strong! Due to an unexpected source, 'The Mandalorian' actor, 47, has gone viral on social media: A video clip from February, shared by TikToker @alexafromspace, shows the actor signing an autograph for a fan while holding his Starbucks cup, which is bursting with caffeine. In the brief video, Pascal is requested to sign a figurine from a Disney+ series after being approached on the street.
Those with keen eyes spotted the large Starbucks beverage the actor was holding. In the following video, the TikToker focused on the beverage's label and listed its ingredients. It turns out that Pascal ordered six shots of iced quad espresso in a venti cup with additional ice. By comparison, one espresso shot has roughly 63 mg of caffeine, making the total caffeine content of his beverage close to 400 mg, as per People.

Is it safe to have six shots of espresso in one drink?
A tall Starbucks Café Americano has about half as much caffeine as a shot of espresso, which has 75 mg. A regular quad espresso has four shots, which equals a total of 300 milligrams of caffeine for those wide-eyed people that order it. For healthy people, the US Food and Drug Administration considers 400 mg per day to be a safe dosage. That is around the same as four or five cups of normal coffee.
"According to TikTok, Pedro Pascal orders a quad over ice in a venti cup, with a total of 6 espresso shots, which would bring the total java jolt to 450mg. This is a very strong brew indeed!" nutrition expert Frances Largeman-Roth, RDN, told TODAY.com. "If the actor regularly drinks this, he is likely used to that type of caffeine content," continued Largeman-Roth.
Also, FDA scientists claim that while caffeine can be a useful component of a healthy diet for many people, consuming too much can be harmful as well. Yet, depending on several factors, including body weight, medications, and personal sensitivity, taking too much caffeine could have considerably worse effects for anyone, indicating that excessive consumption may differ among individuals.
'Daddy needs his coffee'
The internet was shocked by Pascal's supposedly high level of caffeine tolerance. The owner of the TikTok account captioned the clip, "Daddy needs his coffee every morning to carry the entire world and a fandom over his shoulders." "Our mans is CAFFEINATED," commented one TikTok user, while another wondered, "IS HE OKAY." "My SON does not have a caffeine problem! He just likes TO JUMP!" read another comment. "I’ll be ordering the Pedro Pascal tomorrow," commented another TikToker.
Fans took to Twitter to express their views on Pascal's whooping caffeine consumption. "Fine, fine, I give in! I would sit at the park with Pedro Pascal, drinking iced coffee and telling dad jokes. In a heartbeat. The dude gives off the warmest, nicest vibes," posted one user.
Another user posted a tweet that read, "The only thing keeping me alive except for coffee is Pedro Pascal. Damn! What a blessing." "Me wanting to try pedro pascal’s insane coffee: me remembering i literally work at a coffee shoppe," quipped another user.
One more Twitter user posted a snapshot of Pascal's Starbucks cup and wrote, "Here I thought #pedropascal was born with Golden Retriever Energy, turns out it's just his coffee order. That's a quad espresso in a venti cup with extra ice and 6 shots of espresso. Someone please check that man's heart." "Pedro pascal looks like he’s got permanent coffee breath," posted another user.
