More than a decade later, Markiplier is now acting and directing his own self-financed feature film 'Iron Lung.' The film is an adaptation of another independent horror game that stays true to its origins. However, the game has great feature film potential.

'Iron Lung's science fiction horror game esthetic is reminiscent of titles for the original PlayStation, with its low-detail graphics, simple polygon elements, and dependence on the player's imagination. However, apart from the game's look, there is a fascinating story waiting to be discovered in a different format.
'Iron Lung' is based on a post-apocalyptic world
A cataclysmic event known only as the Quiet Rapture has caused all stars and habitable planets to inexplicably disappear in the distant future where humanity has colonized space. In order for humanity to continue to exist, it must now stay aboard various spaceships. A crew called the Consolidation of Iron (COI) finds a moon that used to be deserted, but unexpectedly sprouts aquatic organisms on its surface.
Twist at the end
At the end of the game, it turns out that nothing could be salvaged from the destroyed submarine, so the people were forced to find new hope elsewhere. However, a message from the last inhabitant of the 'Iron Lung' states that the player had no real influence on his imminent liberation and that he is only a pawn in a game he cannot understand.
Fascinating horror experience
'Iron Lung' is a gripping horror adventure that eventually leads the player to check the windows before going to bed. However, there are many unsolved mysteries behind a strong but short horror game. Who is actually responsible for the COI? What is the cause of the strange shops and bones found under the sea of blood? What was the original cause of the Quiet Rapture? Everything together provides the ideal setting for the success of a feature film.
Currently, there is no information about the plot of 'Iron Lung,' as it was only recently released with a very short teaser. However, we can confidently expect a film that not only brings the original game to life in a different format but also goes beyond the limitations of the game, as Markiplier will work closely with Szymanski in the development of the film.
