Is Ireland Baldwin OK? Model gets facelift at age 26 to 'permanently destroy fat cells'
Fans of Ireland Baldwin were shocked after she revealed that she underwent a "mini facelift" at the young age of 26. The model decided to take the "minimally invasive" procedure with her 27-year-old cousin Alaia.
The treatment is reportedly designed to "permanently kill fat cells" and tighten the skin on the lower face and neck. The daughter of Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger took to Instagram on Sunday, April 10, to share selfies of herself and her cousin wrapped in compression bandages following the procedure.

"Cousins who facetite together, stay together," Ireland wrote in another caption, sharing a snap with Alaia.
Ireland reached out to Dr. Michael Kim for the cosmetic procedure, which is said to use "Radio-Frequency Assisted Lipolysis (RFAL) that is contained in a thin wand that is placed underneath the skin." The doctor's website states that RFAL "permanently destroys fat cells and simultaneously tightens the skin of the lower face and neck." Facetite claims to "provide mini facelift-like results without the associated scars, downtime, and cost" and is performed "under local anesthesia or light sedation in the office procedure room with only two to five days of downtime."
While many fans supported the model in the comments section, others said she was "young and beautiful" and didn't need the treatment. "Oh no what happened ?! Hope you're okay!" one commented. "Oh ok, I see what’s up! You are already young and beautiful though!!" another added. "You know what. You didn't have to get your face done. You didn't have to get your chin done. You were gorgeous. And beautiful. And cute. And Sweet to begin with. Geez," someone else wrote.
This comes shortly after a candid post in which Ireland opened up about being in the "most freeing mental headspace" after leaving Los Angeles for the Oregonian coast, where she currently resides with her musician boyfriend RAC.
The 26-year-old penned a lengthy post on Instagram -- inspired by Camila Cabello — detailing her issues with body image, her mental health, and toxic people online. "To being that I am a bad b**** and that I’m done taking s*** from people on the Internet now, I know of course the heat will never cease to exist. I know the more I put myself out there the more people find reasons to pick me apart. But that’s OK!!" she said. "Of course, I am nowhere near as famous as Camilla, but I relate to every word of her post. I have been called some version of fat, ugly, worthless, and irrelevant by grown adults on the Internet since I was a kid," she added.
Ireland has been open about her eating disorders and called out critics for ripping others apart on social media. "I have spent way too many years starving myself, binging, purging, measuring, stepping on scales, spitting food into my purse, and all-around ruining my body because some troll told me I’ll never be as thin and beautiful as my mother," she said. The model noted that she does have "bad days" but "romantically" loves food and is proud of her physique despite what others had to say. "Sure, I have my insecurities," she continued. "I know a lot of you like to assume I am filled with lip filler, breast implants, and botox, but even though there's absolutely nothing wrong with any of those things, I am not, but HELL! All ya had to do was ask!" She then told her fans that she was going to try an "in-office procedure" to deal with the insecurity she had about her chin and that she was "shameless" about the process. "And the most glorious part, is I am not posting revealing pictures, getting treatments, and doing jack s*** for any of you. It's all for me," Ireland added.
