Internet labels ‘Love Island Games’ ‘bummer’ as Peacock show changes format, removes public voting
SUVA, FIJI: Fans thought the 'Love Island Games' format would be the same as that of 'Love Island USA' or any other dating reality show where the contestants are ruled out of the shows by public voting. However, they were shocked to find out that there is a new format for 'Love Island Games'.
No public voting is going to happen in Peacock's new dating show. Who will be removed from the villa will either be based on the participants' performances in various challenges or by the voting of fellow cast members.
Seeing that the dating show will have no public say, a fan wrote on X, "I ain't goin lie....I like the "fight for me" instead of the voting method... I ain't mad at it."
Another claimed, "We not voting right? Drop ship all them episodes at once. @peacock I’m already hooked," pointing out that all the episodes can come out at the same time since the public doesn't determine the course of the show.

An unhappy fan wrote, "I’ll forever mourn the fact that there’s no public voting bc now we can’t vote callum’s broke ken looking a** out."
"So..is there not going to be any public voting? That’s a bummer. The best part of Love Island is being able to let the islanders know who we hate through the vote," tweeted another disappointed fan.

'Love Island Games' has 6 new couples after 1st challenge
There have been six couples after the first challenge in the show. In the premiere episode, we saw Lisa Celander winning the first challenge and, therefore, the right to pick her partner first.
She picked Curtis Pritchard as her partner. Lisa and Curtis will therefore be a couple until they find themselves interested in someone new.
Other couples in the show are Liberty Poole and Callum Hole, Cely Vazquez and Toby Aromolaran, Jessica Losurdo and Steph Blackos, Justine Ndiba and Jack Fowler, and Imani Ayan and Ray Gantt.
What is the release schedule of 'Love Island Games'?
Unlike any other dating show that airs one day a week, 'Love Island Games' releases new episodes 6 days a week.
'Love Island Games' premiered on Wednesday, November 1 at 9 pm ET on Peacock. New episodes will be seen dropping each day at the same time except on Saturdays.
'Love Island Games' will conclude in 3 weeks, with a total of 17 episodes. Besides Peacock, one can also tune in to Hulu the next day to watch the new episodes.
