BOGOTA, COLUMBIA: Shakira who joined Argentine producer Bizarrap on his popular 'Bzrp Music Sessions' series took a jab against her ex-partner former soccer player Gerard Pique and his new girlfriend Clara Chia Marti recently.

According to Hola, some of the lyrics in the song state, "A wolf like me doesn’t have time for novices like you/ I’m too big for you; that’s why you’re with someone just like you." The song in Spanish also has lyrics that translate to, “This is for me to mortify you, chew and swallow, so it doesn’t sting, I wouldn’t get back with you, even if you cry or beg me," and “You left me the in-laws as my neighbors, media outlets at my door and in debt with the Treasury. You thought you hurt me, but you made me stronger. Women don’t cry anymore, they cash in.”

'Our tears are not in vain': Shakira takes a sneaky swipe at ex-boyfriend Gerard Pique in New Year’s post

Shakira, Gerard Pique agree to joint custody 5 months after split, singer to move to Miami with sons

Shakira and Pique split after a decade of being together in 2022. The 'Hips Don't lie' who has two children, Milan, 9, and Sasha, 7 with her ex, had also claimed that dealing with the breakup was the "darkest hour of her life."

She also mentioned about the sacrifices she made in her career for their relationship. " As a soccer player, he wanted to play football and to win titles and I had to support him. I mean, one of the two of us had to make a sacrifice, right? Either he would stop his contract with Barcelona and move to the US with me, where my career is, or I would have to do that instead. And so, one of the two had to make that effort and that sacrifice. And I did it. I put my career in second gear and I came to Spain, to support him so he could play football and win titles. And it was a sacrifice of love. Thanks to that, my kids were able to have a present mom, and I have this amazing bond with them that is unbreakable and that sustains us. You know, that is it. That’s all I can say," the 'Waka Waka' singer said, as per Elle.

On New Year's Eve, she posted a note on Instagram in Spanish which caught her fans' attention, The note read, "Although our wounds continue to be open in this new year, time has surgeon's hands. Even if someone has betrayed us, we have to keep trusting. In the face of contempt, keep valuing yourself. Because there are more good people than bad people. More empathetic people than indolent people. There are fewer who leave and more who stay by our side. Our tears are not a waste, they water the soil where the future will be born and make us more human, so in the midst of heartbreak we can continue to love. Shak❣️."

Meanwhile, Shakira was reportedly furious with Gerard for featuring their nine-year-old son Milan on a Twitch live stream without her consent. “Sources from Shakira’s environment assure that the singer in no case gave her prior consent nor was she consulted about the participation of her son Milan in the broadcast of an event by Pique’s company, in a discussion of adult content,” read an official statement from Shakira's communication office. However, the athlete responded, “This is my son. He is not the announcement, my son is not what we need to announce. We have him here because he wanted to be part at the last minute," reported Hola.

'He's over, Legendkira ended him'

The Internet quickly reacted to Shakira's collaboration and jibe against Pique. A user said, "She tells him “we’re not done yet honey”. Love her." Another added, "AS SHE SHOULD."

"Ooh get them again shakira," claimed a user. Another user commented, "I don’t even speak spanish but you go girl!" A tweet stated, "The biggest artist in Latin America, one of the biggest in the world in fact, her ex? no longer relevant! We're with her forever."

A user noted, "He's over, Legendkira ended him." "The funny thing about this is that, when she says "Lo siento que te salpiqué" ("Sorry I splashed you") she makes a pause between "Sal" and "Piqué", making and énfasis there," stated a user.

Another wrote, "30 years of career and still relevant, is something that JUST LEGENDS can do." A fan tweeted, "Drag him girl."
