Paramount Network's 'Ink Master: Turf War' is getting interesting by the day. This week witnessed a double elimination - Money Mike Thornton (Team South) and Jake Parsons (Team Midwest).

South is left with just two artists - Jason Elliott and Jordi Pla, Team East has Jimmy Snaz, Jessa Bigelow and K Lenore Siner, Midwest will continue with Frank Ready, Jordan Allred, Kelly Severtson, Jerrel Larkins and lastly, Team West who will move on to the next round with Angel Rose, Bob Jones, Raul Ugarte and Hiram Casas.

In today's episode, judges - Dave Navarro, Oliver Peck and Chris Nunez - tasked the artists with the consistency challenge in which every team member had to tattoo at the same time on the same canvas. This was a real test of cohesiveness and not-so surprisingly there were seven artists who failed to impress the judges. Each team was assigned an element of nature - Earth, wind, water and fire - and they had to base their designs around those elements.

Money Mike's box tattoo fell through. It was a black-and-grey tattoo that depicted a scene where a silhouette of a man was overlooking a tornado. The linework and saturation were issues that the judges couldn't get past.  However, they did praise the East for sticking to the challenge. They had tattooed skulls that had flowers and leaves growing from within. Oliver appreciated Team West for being consistent with their flames in all of their four tattoos.

The artists were beginning to relax when judges threw a twist into the mix. They were informed that the remaining (unsafe) artists would go for another round of tattooing and there'd be a second elimination. The safe teams were asked to assign subject and style to those competing in round two. Jason's insect design in illustrative style was the brightest and most liked one. He had yellow and blue beaming out of the design. Jake's wasn't a bad tattoo, only the linework on the crown stuck out like a sore thumb.

In a nutshell, everyone brought out their best but someone had to leave the show. Tough luck, Jake wasn't able to showcase more of his fine tattooing skills.
