Patrick Xavier Clark: Takeoff murder suspect arrested in Houston
HOUSTON. TEXAS: Houston police announced Friday that a 33-year-old, Patrick Xavier Clark has been arrested on a murder charge in the fatal shooting of rapper Takeoff outside a bowling alley in Houston on November 1. Patrick Xavier was arrested in Houston on Thursday, Chief Troy Finner of the Houston Police Department announced in a news conference. Another man, Cameron Joshua, 22, who was at the scene, was arrested last month and charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon.
Takeoff, whose real name is Kirsnick Khari Ball was a rapper and record producer for the chart-topping group Migos. Police believe the shooting happened after a dice game, but Takeoff was an innocent bystander. Some reports suggested that an altercation had also broken out and Takeoff was hit by a "stray bullet."

Mayor Sylvester Turner in the press conference said while appreciating the law enforcement officers and investigators said, "the work continues in this case". referring to Takeoff's fatal shooting, he said it was a month before when we stood here discussing it, "We all knew who Takeoff was, a proud entertainer of the Atlanta-based rap group Migos... But more than an entertainer he was a brother, cousin, and a son, and a mentor to those in a music industry." He said, "I am glad that suspected has been arrested and charged with Takeoff's death. It sure will bring some comfort to the family, though it does not bring Takeoff back."
The police said that the shooting occurred after someone at the party played a dice game, and an argument broke out. They said that Takeoff had not been playing in the game and was not involved in the disagreement. “He was an innocent bystander,” said Sgt. Michael Burrow of the Houston Police. Chief Finner said that Takeoff had been in the “wrong place at the wrong time.” Investigators determined through video surveillance, cellphone footage, and other physical evidence that Mr Clark fired the lethal shot, Sergeant Burrow said, The New York Times reported

Takeoff's autopsy showed he died from gunshot wounds to the head and torso. His manner of death was ruled a homicide. Takeoff was part of the Grammy Award-nominated rap trio Migos with his uncle Quavo and cousin Offset from suburban Atlanta.TMZ obtained two videos last month that captured the moments before the shots were fired. In one of the videos, a man dressed in black is seen holding a gun close to his chest while Quavo engages in a heated argument with someone. Takeoff and top-rated boxer Shakur Stevenson were both at the scene.
