Country legend Blake Shelton has already won ‘The Voice’ a record seven times as a coach and with Ian Flanigan and Jim Ranger in his team in the semifinals of Season 19, there are chances, Team Blake might lift the trophy again for a record eighth time. Well, at least, that’s what the Internet feels. Ian Flanigan, who is considered as one of the top contenders from day one of the singing reality show, made sure America votes for him as he nailed both his performances of the evening.

Ian Flanigan first hit the stage with Tamara Jade and Ben Allen for his trio performance. For the uninitiated, Tamara comes from Team Legend whereas Ben represents Team Gwen. The trio showed their exceptional singing skills on ‘Tulsa Time’ by Don Williams. The semifinalists got thumbs-up from all the judges but it is the audience at the end whose vote will allow them to head to the next round. Ian then also gave a soulful solo performance for Team Blake. He dedicated his rendition of Sarah McLachlan’s ‘Angel’ to his new fiancé. While speaking to Ian, Blake said people know the song so well and that his voice is already so different from Sarah McLachlan that he doesn’t need to change the arrangement too much. Blake also thanked Kelly Clarkson for suggesting the song, which Ian delivered perfectly.

The fan-favorite singer also got a tremendous response from the Internet where a majority of them felt that Ian should win the current season of the singing reality show. One user said, “I love you so much Ian Flanigan and Blake Shelton Ian is an angel to everyone and shines on the stage and he is the winner of the voice that song he will win.” Another fan stated, “Wow. I just can't get enough of Ian Flanigan's rendition of Angel.” A third wrote, “Ian Flanigan chooses another out of the box song that surprisingly fits his voice. Always enamored of the gentle gruff he brings, giving this such an introspective around the fire storytelling session. This is another one I would def buy. Very comforting.”

One fan posted, “Ian Flanigan is going to win this season of #TheVoice Not even going to be close.” While talking about the trio show, another expressed, “Tamara Jade, Ian Flanigan, Ben Allen. I’m glad these trios are uptempo. Tamara is bringing the energy tho this doesn’t really fit her voice. She worked in her section. The guy's sound made for the song, and it was fun. #TheVoice #VoiceTop9.”

From the previous episode of the last week, we saw only the best nine moved ahead in the competition from the slot of top 17. One member from each team was voted through by America and each coach then had an opportunity to save another artist they wanted to move forward. The lucky ones were Ian Flanigan and Jim Ranger from Team Blake, Carter Rubin and Ben Allen from Team Gwen, John Holiday, Tamara Jade and Bailey Rae from Team Legend and Desz and Cami Clune from Team Kelly.

What happened in the final performance?

Ian Flanigan from Team Blake gave his first performance of the night where he covered ‘In Color’ by Jamey Johnson but not before he spoke behind the stage about how his journey on ‘The Voice’ has been. He revealed that the singing reality show will always hold a special place in his life adding that he has no idea what he will do if he wins the show. Ian, who has seen quite the ups and downs through his journey in season 19 of the reality series, absolutely mesmerized the judges with his magical performance. Coaches John Legend and Blake Shelton also did not shy away to shower praises on the talented crooner. He also performed his original song called ‘Never Learn' later in the evening.

Fans are voting for him and can't stop talking about his performances. “I just voted for @IanFlanigan on #TheVoice. Ian, I lost my grandpa 2 days after Thanksgiving, and he loved to tell stories of his pictures before dementia took over. I said last week I wanted to hear you sing #InColor, and you did. Your cover of this song had me sobbing,” one wrote and another said, “Ian Flanigan is a force to be reckoned with. It's as if his voice envelopes us in Manly love...Ian is A VOICE!!! #TheVoice.”

A third said, “Ian Flanigan debuts, Never Learn, a hopeful love letter that evokes thoughts and feelings I didn’t expect. Love how it takes you on a little journey. Like the song and his vocals let the words breathe and resonate. #TheVoice #VoiceFinale.”
