'I was brainwashed': 'Bachelor' star Kaitlyn Bristowe reveals how producers 'sexualized' Nick to force chemistry between the pair
In the podcast "Not Skinny But Not Fat," ex-'Bachelor' contestant Kaitlyn Bristowe spills some new details about her season on the show. She gets candid about how the producers purposefully sexualized Nick Viall and how strange it was.
Bristowe and Viall have somewhat of a history. Before becoming 'The Bachelor,' Viall competed for Bristowe's heart on her season of 'The Bachelorette'. But before that, the two had what Viall calls “a little two-week FaceTime love affair.” It's reported that Bristowe was supposed to get in touch with him after her season ended, but she fell in love with Shawn Booth instead. She got engaged to Booth, and all promises to Viall were broken.

How did Producers sexualize Viall? And Why
In a candid talk with Us Weekly, Bristowe opened up about what the producers did in her season. “They really sexualized Nick to me. There was one producer — I've never even said this, you get the exclusive — one producer actually said to me, after I would kiss him, she'd come in and like wipe my lips and, like, lick her lips and be like, ‘Oh, I just want to know what that tastes like — to, like, make out with Nick,’” Bristowe alleged. “They really, like, put them on a pedestal to me. … That was part of their tactic. … I was brainwashed.”
It was all for a storyline. The pair was apparently a dream come true for the producers and they were dying to add fire to their sexual tryst. Some of the contestants were aware of Bristowe's off-camera time with Viall and according to a report by TMZ, producers did everything they could to goose those contestants into talking about it and making it a big deal.
Why didn't Kaitlyn congratulate Nick on his engagement?
Bristowe wasn't sure if it would be appropriate or not to congratulate Nick on his engagement. Exes are complicated, and we are often stumped if our actions would come across as weird or not. What a dilemma!
Bristowe said to Us Weekly, “He does a whole thing about not texting your ex, so I was like, ‘Is this me crossing a line?'," referring to the 'Don’t Text Your Ex Happy Birthday' author. “I wanted to, but I then I was like, ‘Is that weird?'," she added.
Continuing with the talk, however, she did confess that Nick and his fiance Natalie Joy were meant for each other, Bristowe even lightened the mood by revealing that she got to know about the age gap between the couple through an Instagram post. She told Us Weekly that if she and her fiance Tartick were invited to the wedding, they would attend, even if Viall only does it to make "headlines".
