Is Kaitlyn Bristowe having a baby with Jason Tartick? 'Bachelorette' star shares mental health goals for 2021
The Bachelor Nation is in for a possible surprise this year and it could be in the form of a Bachelor Nation child! 'The Bachelorette' star and 'Dancing With The Stars' winner Kaitlyn Bristowe is ready to have kids with Jason Tartick in 2021 and she spoke about her future plans in an interview with Us Weekly Magazine. Along with saying that she has "mental and physical" goals this year, Bristowe added that she wants to "feel strong to have a baby".
"I want to go into the New Year with a healthy mindset. 2020 has taught us to pivot and to overcome a lot and just have a good perspective on things… So I think a New Year’s resolution for me would just be really mentally and physically working on myself to feel strong, to overcome anything that comes my way in 2021," the Bachelor star said.
Fans of the couple may know this already, but the duo, Bristowe and Tartick, first met in 2019 when Tartick was on Bristowe's podcast 'Off the Vine'. In November 2018, the former Bachelorette had split from fiancé Shawn Booth, three years after the pair got engaged on Season 11 of the ABC reality series in 2015. Two months after the split, Bristowe met Tartick on the podcast.
According to Life & Style, the pair went on "two back-to-back dates in January 2019" and Bristowe started referring to Tartick as her boyfriend a few weeks later. Of course, they also made it Instagram official on Valentine's Day 2019, and in June they moved in together. According to reports, the two have now been together for almost two years and live in Nashville.
While the couple does have two fur babies — rescue golden retrievers named Ramen and Pinot, and live together, there is no news of an engagement as of now. Reports also reveal that on a Q&A on Instagram last year, Bristowe had revealed that the duo had picked out her engagement ring, and in the Us Weekly interview, she explained why the engagement has been on hold.
“[It’s] the healthiest relationship I’ve ever been in and [an engagement] just feels like the natural next step, [But] I told him I don’t want to [have a] quarantine engagement. [I want] a little more romance than just at the house,” Bristowe told the publication last month.
In October 2020, Bristowe also revealed to Life & Style that she is excited to marry her boyfriend, “Jason wants a big wedding. I wouldn’t even mind at this point going to a courthouse and just having family over, but Jason wants a big party," she had said.
While the possible baby news is exciting, let's not forget that just before Christmas both Bristowe and Tartick tested positive for Covid-19. So the baby fever may be on but Bristowe also mentions that her mental health is also a priority.
“I think we always think New Year’s Eve [is] physical, like, what kind of weight are we doing? How are we working out? What’s our body fat? And for me, I think, I really want to focus on mental health. When you’ve got your health, you’ve got it all,” Tartick added.
