Television host Ellen DeGeneres has been in the news for the past few weeks for all the wrong reasons. From workplace harassment to the toxic work culture and even some suggesting that DeGeneres be replaced by some other personality – it has been days of backlash for the celebrity. Also, as reported by MEA WorldWide (MEAWW), there were also rumors floating of her wife, Portia de Rossi, planning to divorce her. Although the rumor is yet to be authenticated, allegations surrounding the couple's marital woes have been doing the rounds for quite some time now.

However, on August 4, Rossi took to Instagram to extend her support for Ellen amid all the allegations against her. She shared an image of a blue square with the words ‘I stand by Ellen’ and captioned the post, “To all our fans....we see you. Thank you for your support. #stopbotattacks. #IStandWithEllenDeGeneres #IStandByEllen ‪#IstandByEllenDeGeneres.”

The ‘Arrested Development’ star and DeGeneres have been married since 2008. Since May, employees and other sources from the show have been alleging rude and unacceptable behavior from DeGeneres on the sets. According to a recent report by MEAWW, a former producer at DeGeneres’ show claimed that the host herself was well aware of the toxic work environment and was partly responsible for the conduct of her colleagues.

With Rossi breaking her silence, a lot of Twitter users also rallied in support of the 62-year-old host. One supporter said, “People need to calm down these days. Ellen I think your marvs and I love your show. #IStandByEllen #istandwithellendegeneres #EllenDeGeneres it comes with the job, I get shouted at by people on the phone most days but I’m not going to hate them for it. Jeez.”

Another said, “#IStandByEllen we all have bad days. You’re a kind soul. Do not let the haters stop you from continuing your mission.”

One stated, “I’m with you @jannarden. People are just looking for a reason to tear her down. She’s done a lot more good in this world than most people. I’m with Ellen & I love @andylassner #IStandByEllen.”

Another concurred: “#IStandByEllen because I know that humans are multidimensional beings. I love Ellen for all the times she’s made me laugh throughout my life and the times that called for tears, she was there too. Red heart thank you Ellen.”

One user called out other celebrities who haven't spoken about the issue, saying, “I just don’t understand where are the celebrities that are always overjoyed to be on #Ellen but not coming out in her defense???? It’s such a shame! She deserves so much more!”

“I have had the privilege of working with Ellen Degeneres (@TheEllenShow) for 5+ years. She leads with love...always. I am blessed beyond measurement for having her in my life. Those who say she deserves this do not know Ellen. Stop taking down our role models. #IStandWithEllen,” wrote entrepreneur Adam Lilling.

“She does so much good. Disgusted with the pile on attacks. #IStandwithEllen,” wrote a fan while another pointed out, "#IStandByEllen #IStandwithEllen you have helped me get through really dark times thank you @TheEllenShow". Another added, "She is one of the best, talented and funny. People are only haters in their life. Shut up!! #IStandwithEllen."

According to a report by The Sun, James Corden might be in talks to replace DeGeneres in her famous talk show. However, as reported by MEAWW, social media wasn’t in favor of this choice and instead jumped on to suggest Liam Neeson to Dakota Johnson’s names.

The host issued an apology on July 30, as per a report by Variety. “On day one of our show, I told everyone in our first meeting that ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ would be a place of happiness — no one would ever raise their voice, and everyone would be treated with respect. Obviously, something changed, and I am disappointed to learn that this has not been the case,” she said. However, this also didn’t sit well with audiences who called her 'grotesque wealthy celeb’.
