Popular American streamer Darren Watkins Jr, aka ‘IShowSpeed’, has become well-known in the streaming scene quite rapidly and even in the football scene recently, especially with YouTube fans. He began streaming on YouTube in 2018, and since then, he has swiftly ascended the rankings and amassed millions of viewers.
Over 16.7 million people have subscribed to his primary channel, and he also has a further 5.02 million on his other channel. Here are 5 things fans should know about YouTube the star.

1. Messi Tattoo
Yes, the self-proclaimed Cristiano Ronaldo fanboy has a permanent tattoo on his wrists with a Messi-related design. IShowSpeed was spotted going to a tattoo parlor earlier in 2022 to be tattooed while wearing blinders. He exhorted the tattoo artist to ink him with anything proposed throughout his comments. Unsurprisingly, Lionel Messi has been mentioned by his subscribers.
The YouTuber lost it and sobbed when he saw that Messi's name and shirt number had been permanently inscribed onto his wrist. He most likely got the tattoo just for the purpose of producing material.
2. He was an NBA streamer
As previously said, IShowSpeed has grown fond of soccer lately, especially Cristiano Ronaldo. As a result, he has recorded multiple broadcasts in which he can be seen playing well-known FIFA games. Prior to being interested in soccer, Darren was more drawn to creating streams on the NBA video games.
Even while he occasionally still mentions basketball and has even played the most recent version of NBA 2K23, football is currently his preferred sport. Even more recently, he participated in the London Sidemen Charity Football Match.
3. Real reason for Twitch ban
IShowSpeed was a YouTuber first and foremost, but he also had a Twitch account. He wasn't a frequent visitor, although he did take part in Adin Ross' dating streams on Twitch. In one of those, the 17-year-old was observed saying something aggressive and sexually provocative to a female participant.
Twitch made the decision to permanently remove him. His engagement with Adin Ross has significantly decreased in front of the camera because the platform doesn't permit banned broadcasters to participate in other broadcasts either.
4. Lives with his family
Despite never seeing his mother on stream, IShowSpeed has occasionally included her voice in his live streams, proving that he indeed lives with her. He also shares his home with his younger brother, who has made a few appearances in front of the camera.
His grandma is another family member that may be living in his home. The streamer was observed making a few calls to his grandmother on his livestreams. He contacted her, for instance, in one stream to ask how to turn on the hot water in his bathroom, which suggested that she may also be a resident.
5. Biggest CR7 fan
IShowSpeed's broadcasts make it very evident that his understanding of soccer is severely constrained as a result of his minimal exposure to it. But in 2021, a superchat inquired about his preferred soccer team. Darren shouted ‘Cristiano Ronaldo suii’ after misinterpreting the question. The video then spread like wildfire throughout the internet.
A few months later, IShowSpeed began producing films with athletes like Anthony Elanga of Manchester United.
