1. Alleged use of homophobic slurs
Various outlets looked into claims that Jimmy had used homophobic slurs in his videos and on-stream. The native of North Carolina has a propensity for employing such words in his writing and frequently used the word ‘fa***t’ while talking on Twitter with both supporters and detractors. He allegedly made jokes about homosexuality throughout his adolescent years, often using the term ‘gay’ as a punchline or a jest, aside from the casual use of the f-word. He occasionally even uttered the N-word off-screen, according to a now-deleted remark by Elijah Daniel on Twitter as per The Atlantic.
2. Recreating 'Squid Game'
November 25, 2021, will always be remembered by MrBeast and his channel. The YouTube mogul published a replica of the Netflix cult hit 'Squid Game' after constantly dropping hints on his social media sites. He, however, found himself the target of several organizations and other content producers after almost spending $3.5 million on the film.
Numerous viewers of the South Korean drama spoke out to clarify how MrBeast had entirely missed the objective of the program and that his recreation had glorified wealth inequality rather than tackling it.
3. Helping blind people
A video titled '1,000 Blind People See For The First Time' was posted by MrBeast to his channel on January 29, 2023. As the name implies, it included yet another of MrBeast's renowned charitable deeds. While many admirers applauded the young content producer for his kind act, many others were unimpressed with the video. Jimmy was even referred to as the ‘Anti-Christ’ for his attempts to exploit those with severe impairments for financial gain.
The internet was heavily split, with many internet users claiming that the sole motivation for the production of this film was avarice. The surgeon, who carried out more than 40 operations in less than 11 hours for the film, believed that Jimmy was doing something that would help mankind as a whole.
4. Toxic work environment
After claims of maintaining a toxic workplace were made public by Matt Turner, an ex-editor for the YouTuber, MrBeast's whole reputation as a good-hearted philanthropist was questioned. The revelation came as a result of an investigation by the New York Times, which involved more than 11 former workers being questioned.
Turner detailed MrBeast's criticism of the editor in a string of since-deleted tweets, going so far as to allegedly verbally and physically abuse and intimidate the editor every day.
5. Clubhouse room
In February 2021, MrBeast found himself in the spotlight once more when an audio recording of him ordering someone out of his Clubhouse room went viral. The YouTuber and numerous other influencers participated in the in-question session.
However, things went south when he reportedly threw off a user because he couldn't say his name. Faroukh Sarmad, the user in dispute, said that MrBeast made it clear by saying, “I'm going to yote you C0lin, thank you for coming up. Uh, I'm sorry. I'm really bad with names.
