iHeartRadio Music Festival 2020 Full List of Performers: BTS, Alicia Keys and Miley Cyrus kickstart virtual show

The 10th edition of the festival was hosted by Ryan Seacrest and was recorded live from venues in both Los Angeles and Nashville

The iHeartRadio Music Festival which commenced in 2011, most recently celebrated the 10th anniversary by roping in some of the top artists of the music industry. This year, the event opened on September 18, 2020 and ended the next day i.e. September 19, 2020. For the first time in the iHeartRadio Music Festival history, all the performances were held virtually, thanks to the on-going global pandemic.

iHeartRadio had first announced the festival along with the line-up on their official Twitter account in July 2020. They had shared, “The two-day virtual mega-concert will feature performances from @BTS_twt, @coldplay, MileyCyrus  and more! #iHeartFestival”



 

 
The virtual event saw A-listers musicians like Alicia Keys, Usher, South Korean K-pop legends BTS, Coldplay, Keith Urban, Bon Jovi, Kane Brown, Miley Cyrus, the hip-hop trio Migos, the pop icon Usher, the newest Entertainer of the Year winner at the Academy of Country Music Awards- Thomas Rhett, and Swae Lee among a few others taking over the stage to make the evening more memorable.

Alicia Keys
The Grammy-winning artist kicked off the first night of the music festival with her new singles ‘Love Looks Better’ and ‘So Done.’

Usher
The R&B icon belted out his hits like ‘OMG,’ ‘You Make Me Wanna,’ ‘Burn,’ along with a medley of ‘My Boo,’ and ‘DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love.’

BTS
BTS dazzled fans with their virtual performance on their biggest hit till date i.e. Dynamite. The K-pop band then transitioned into ‘Make It Right,’ and ‘Spring Day.’

Coldplay
The renowned band led by Chris Martin took the music festival a notch higher with their stellar performances on ‘Viva La Vida,’ ‘Clocks,’ ‘Trouble In Town’ and ‘Adventure Of A Lifetime.’ Coldplay closed their set with their hit single ‘Fix You’ and ‘A Sky Full of Stars.’

Keith Urban
The country music legend Keith Urban gave an unforgettable performance on his hit songs like ‘Somewhere In My Car,’ ‘Blue Ain’t Your Colour,’ ‘Superman,’ ‘The Fighter’ and ‘Wasted Time.’

Bon Jovi
Jon Bon Jovi debuted his new politically-charged single titled ‘Do What You Can’ from his new album ‘Bon Jovi: 2020.’ The band also performed on songs namely ‘Lost Highway,’ ‘It’s My Life’ and ‘Limitless.’

Kane Brown with  Swae Lee and Khalid
Kane Brown surely knows how to leave his fans enthralled. The singer set the fire on stage with his hit numbers like ‘What Ifs,’ ‘BFE,’ ‘Cool Again,’ ‘One Thing,’ and ‘Worship You.’ He also brought hip-hop artist Swae Lee and singer Khalid for their latest collab ‘Be Like That.’

Miley Cyrus
The talented vocalist showed-off her skills on the stage with her songs like ‘Nothing Breaks Like a Heart,’ ‘Who Owns My Heart,’ and ‘Midnight Sky,’ Miley had also covered Blondie’s classic hit ‘Heart of Glass.’

Migos
The hip-hop trio dedicated their iHeartRadio performance to late Kobe Bryant, late ‘Black Panther’ star Chadwick Boseman and late hip-hop artist Pop Smoke. The trio opened their set with their 2018 hit ‘Motorsport’ and then belted out their hit tracks like ‘Deadz,’ ‘Fight Night,’ ‘Narcos,’ and ‘Ric Flair Drop’ among a slew of other hits.  

Thomas Rhett
The country music singer gave his fans a performance of a lifetime with his seven songs. Rhett opened with ‘Look What God Gave Her’ before moving to ‘Life Changes.’ He then sang ‘Be A Light,’ ‘Crash and Burn,’ ‘Beer Can’t Fix,’ ‘Die A Happy Man,’ and ‘T-Shurt.’

Speaking about the 10th edition of the festival, iHeartMedia chief programming officer Tom Poleman said in a statement, “It’s hard to believe that this September will be the 10th iHeartRadio Music Festival. The 2011 Festival was iHeart’s first national marquee event and became the model for our hugely successful series of iHeart-branded music events broadcast and streamed across the country on radio, television and online. More than 200 superstar artists have made our iHeartRadio Music Festival the biggest in the world, and this year’s lineup, even amidst a global pandemic, will be one for the history books.”

A lot of fans also tweeted about the music festival and their favorite artists' performances. One BTS fan said, “My boys seriously took over the world with a single song. Commercials, DWTS, countless awards, week long co-host on the tonight show, performances on AGT, the morning show, VMA’s, tiny desk, iheart radio music festival. This song came out a month ago...” Another BTS posted, “Aw, BTS performance during the iheart radio music festival was so good” One Miley Cyrus fan posted, “Miley Cyrus - Who Owns My Heart (iHeartRadio Festival 2020 Visual)” Another Miley fan added, “thinking about Miley Cyrus - Heart of Glass live at iHeartRadio Music Festival 2020”
