SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: Over the last few months, if there is one K-pop dating rumor that everyone in the world was curious about involving two of the biggest artists in the world from the biggest boy and girl group of the present time is the rumor about BTS' V (Kim Taehyung) and Blackpink's Jennie. When alleged photographs of the two idols surfaced online hinting that the two were together in a car in Jeju Island, Korea, the two fandoms, ARMYs and Blinks (fans of BTS and Blackpink), shattered.

The two fandoms united for the first time as half of them believed the rumors, while the other half banded together to ask their respective labels -- HYBE (Big Hit Music) and YG Entertainment -- to release statements. Among the two labels, YG Entertainment did release an ambiguous statement refraining to meddle in the personal life of their artist Jennie. However, fans were yet to receive an update from HYBE about V. Fans also bashed HYBE for using V to silence the Kim Garam controversy but now, as of August 24, more and more rumors involving the two artists have created unrest in the K-pop fandom world.

BTS V and Blackpink Jennie spark more dating rumors

On August 23, media sources reported another photograph from the time V was getting ready for his flight to Paris for the 2022 Fashion Week. The photo shows Jennie with him in the room taking a mirror photo of herself with V. Moreover, most recent reports claimed that V, who is traveling to the United States, is going there to support Jennie who will be making her MTV VMAs debut with the other members of Blackpink. On August 24, V was spotted leaving for the US, while it is true that Blackpink members will be performing at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards on August 29.

With more and more controversy around the two artists, YG Entertainment has released a new statement that sheds some light on the nature of Jennie's trip. The label stated that it is true that Jennie will be traveling to the US on August 25 but she will be there for her group schedule with the rest of Blackpink and not for personal reasons. However, HYBE is still silent about the controversy and fans are yet to hear a clarification from them on behalf of BTS' V.

'HYBE NEEDS to release a statement'

Fans are left wondering why the label is letting these rumors grow as they ask HYBE to release a statement. One fan said, "Get out from your imaginations where tf GD came from ?? And what about hybe why they r silent when they come and defend every bts member rumors."

One more fan said, "Let hybe and YG do the talking! if they are still silent I consider this real. because hybe is not usually like this to the artist especially since V is a member of BTS. Just wait for the agency's response."
