How to vote for ‘American Idol’ Season 24 contestants as a new method takes over
Season 24 of 'American Idol' differs from previous instalments in one crucial aspect. Whereas the previous seasons gave the judges the ultimate power to decide the fate of the contestants, the present season has extended the voting rights to the members of the audience.
The nation is poised to come together to cast their votes on 'American Idol' Season 24, thus ensuring that their favourite contestants make it all the way up to the finale.
The recently aired Monday episode of the music competition-based reality television show featured performances from the first half of the top 20 contestants. Brad Paisley and Keke Palmer served as advisors, guiding the ten contestants through their musical journeys on the ABC show.
In keeping with the announcement made by host Ryan Seacrest, there are a total of three ways in which one can cast their vote. Similar to the previous seasons, members of the audience can send their votes via text message as well as cast them directly on the official 'American Idol' website.
The 'American Idol' app is no longer in use, and the voting process has now extended to the domain of social media instead. The way it works is that audience members must navigate to the official TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook pages of the show and locate the pinned post about voting. They will then have to comment on the first name of the contestant that they wish to vote for.
The voting channels will be open till 6:00 a.m. ET on Tuesday. Furthermore, the rules dictate that each audience member can cast 10 votes per method, bringing the total to 50 potential votes per artist.
For those seeking to cast their votes for Makiyah, who recently performed 'Bang Bang' by Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande, and Jessie J, text 1 to 21523. Text 2 to 21523 to vote for Jake Thistle, who performed 'The Power of Love' by Huey Lewis and the News.
Daniel Stallworth, who performed 'All Night Long' by Lionel Richie, can be voted for by texting 4 to 21523. On the other hand, audience members can text 3 to 21523 to support Genevieve Heyward's rendition of 'Pink Pony Club' by Chapell Roan. Kyndal performed 'Call Your Mom' by Noah Kahan on the March 16 episode, and her voting code is 5, to be texted to 21523.
The voting codes for Kutter Bradley, Jesse Findling, Hannah Harper, Braden Rumfelt, and Brooks are 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10, respectively. Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan, and Carrie Underwood are the three judges on 'American Idol,' and the show drops new episodes every Monday exclusively on ABC.
