It's the last Thursday of the year and all we can think of is our favorite show that left us hanging in suspense since November. And today, as we look forward to the New Year, we also think of what could possibly happen in the upcoming episodes of ABC's hit legal drama-thriller.

So, here's what we think might or might not happen on 'How To Get Away With Murder' when Season 6 returns:

Asher returns

For all we know, Asher might not be dead. Since characters in 'HTGAWM' have a way of coming back to life from the dead, we might as well see Asher back in flesh and blood.

Wes' new storyline

Wes, as we had speculated earlier, will have his own complicated story to tell, which will also explain where and how Laurel has been hiding for months now and what happened to their child, Christopher.

Gabriel and Michaela

Gabriel will not let go of Michaela so easily. They not only had a great bonding but Michaela also knew Gabriel's secret. So, if Gabriel is really careful about his past not coming to light, he would ensure that Michaela is on his side.

Frank and Bonnie

Frank and Bonnie will most likely fall apart. More so after Frank practically tried to "kill" Bonnie, although for her own good. Despite the love they have for each other, they might not end up in their dream place (Ohio) as they used once plan.

Annalise's fate

Annalise will most likely not end up leaving the country. As we saw in the ending scenes of the last episode, she boarded a private jet and was on her way out to her hideout or wherever Simon Vick had made arrangements for her.

However, we have a feeling that halfway through she will feel that she is abandoning her students and her friends who look up to her and she will most likely come back. And then, maybe, she will fake her death to save everyone.

Connor and Oliver

Connor and Oliver are going to see some hard days ahead. In one of the flash-forwards in Season 6 so far, we have seen Connor having a cardiac arrest while being interrogated by the FBI.

Now, there are two possibilities here. He could either be faking it, so he can get out of the FBI's clutches, or he might actually be having an attack. In either scenario, it might not go as he expects it.

Elsewhere, Oliver, as we saw in a glimpse, will take the blame to save his husband. This is only going to make things more complicated for both of them.

Tegan faces the music

Tegan will have a lot of answers to give. In her quick Facetime chat, Laurel mentioned Tegan helping her escape and be in hiding for the last few months. Now, her friends are going to seek answers and more from Tegan.

We had suspected earlier that she might be involved with the Castillo family or even the FBI. But then, after Laurel's confirmation, both the possibilities get ruled out.

If at all, Tegan is also a part of a conspiracy of the Castillos. She could also turn out to be a significant part of the future of Annalise and her students. There is also the possibility of Tegan and Annalise getting together, even if for a brief period before the sad end of all of them.

While most of these are speculations or theories that we have conjured up so far, some of them are also rational outcomes of events that have already transpired this season.

With these and more that we can only guess, let's just hope that the second half of the final season does justice to our overall understanding of the plot. But then again, as they say, a good story always ends in a manner that you least expect. And that's what makes it memorable for many years to come.

'How To Get Away With Murder' Season 6 returns in Spring 2020, only on ABC. Stay tuned for updates on the month, date, and time. Until then, catch up on what you might have missed this season.
