'How To Get Away With Murder' Season 6 Episode 5: Annalise and Tegan bond and fans are already shipping them
Running for six years now, 'How To Get Away With Murder' has given us everything that you can expect from a legal drama. There's been a lot of mayhem, murders, betrayals, and more.
Not that we didn’t see some romantic or fun moments, like Wes and Laurel’s relationship, Connor and Oliver’s dating-turned-marital life, Laurel's motherhood, and so on.
However, since last season, we have been holding our breath with every episode, wondering what bad could happen next. And then in season six episode five, Tegan and Annalise's budding chemistry gave us hope that something positive might come along soon.
After severing her ties with Cora (her ex-wife) she gets drunk and rushes to Annalise to pour her heart out. And her fans couldn't adore her more, for showing us her sensitive side. It makes an iron-willed woman like Tegan, more humane, just as one user tweeted, "Teagan is showing humanity #HTGAWM".
As another user tweeted, "I'm kind of loving vulnerable Tegan. @amirahvann is CRUSHING this episode! #HTGWM #HTGAWM."
Some people even found her vulnerability adorable in a strange way, like one commenter, "Sad Tegan is so cute and huggable! #htgawm6 #htgawm" while some felt that "She really wants some of Annalise... #HTGAWM"
Also, from a character evolution point of view, it was long time coming. It is indeed heartwarming to see two strong women bonding and developing chemistry. It is not just delightful and encouraging to see and but also helps bust the cliché that two achieving and successful women can never be friends.
Even fans would like to agree. One viewer said, "I love Tegan and Annalise's friendship omg #htgawm". Even without the "romance" angle, Annalise and Tegan’s equation as it grew over the last season, shows the real power of women in power, which again is a classic Shonda Rhimes.
With season six episode five leaving us with a vulnerable Tegan and Annalise in acceptance of her real self, a probable "love angle" between the two female characters might ensue soon.
