LEGO's ‘Stranger Things’ set loaded with Easter eggs has fans saying the same thing: ‘This product is...’
LEGO is diving back into the Upside Down with a brand-new collector’s set that’s already stirring up major excitement, and plenty of sticker shock, among ‘Stranger Things’ fans. The company has officially revealed an elaborate brick-built recreation of the iconic Creel House, one of the most haunting and memorable locations from the Netflix phenomenon. Designed as a centerpiece display model loaded with series Easter eggs, the set is sure to be one of the franchise’s most intricate tie-ins yet. The upcoming Creel House build clocks in at a hefty 2,593 pieces, recreating the eerie residence that first appeared in season 4.
LEGO has opened preorders at $299.99, placing it firmly in premium collector territory. Members of the LEGO Insiders program will get the earliest access: the Creel House becomes available to them on January 1, 2026, followed by a global public release on January 4. Fans who pick it up from LEGO Stores between January 1 and January 4 will also secure an exclusive bonus. They will get the LEGO Icons Stranger Things: WSQK Radio Station, a 584-piece companion build that comes with Joyce Byers and Jim Hopper minifigures.
The Creel House itself is designed with the kind of detail that long-time fans crave. Builders will find a richly crafted exterior complete with weathered textures, boarded-up windows, and a layout that opens to reveal multiple rooms spread across the upper and lower floors. Inside are key locations tied to the show’s history, including Alice and Henry’s childhood bedrooms, the unnerving upstairs hallway, and a fully realized version of Vecna’s Mind Lair. Scattered throughout the house are nods to major storylines: the ominous grandfather clock, Steve Harrington’s car, the WSQK radio van, and Will Byers’ bike.
The set also includes an extensive lineup of 13 minifigures, featuring Eleven, Will, Mike, Lucas, Dustin, Holly, Steve, Nancy, Robin, Jonathan, Max, Mr. Whatsit, and Vecna. Once assembled, the finished piece stands over 11.5 inches tall, stretches 20 inches wide, and reaches 7 inches deep. But while collectors praised the design, the price immediately sparked a wave of reactions online. Fans immediately vented online about the steep price tag, flooding social media with comments such as “$299.99? That house better come with a mini Vecna,” “$299?? bro LEGO really thinks we’re made of brick money,” and “200 less than a PS5 is crazy.”
Meanwhile, others leaned into sarcasm, joking, “Good thing there are so many children with $300 to spare,” as quoted by Fiction Horizon. Some also noted that the set arrives terribly late, with one fan writing, “This product is like 10 years too late.” Others joked that modern LEGO sets now seem geared toward nostalgic millennials more than kids. Meanwhile, interest in ‘Stranger Things’ remains strong as the show races toward its conclusion. As per Forbes, Season 5 Volume 1 premiered on November 26. It’ll be followed by Volume 2 on December 25, with the series finale slated for December 31.
