LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Peter Crombie, best known to viewers for playing the popular character of Crazy Joe Davola in NBC' show 'Seinfeld', has died at the age of 71 after battling an unknown illness, as per a report by TMZ.

It has been reported by the media outlet that Crombie's ex-wife Nadine Kijner revealed that he took his last breath on Wednesday, January 10, 2024.

As of this moment, the exact cause behind the death of Peter Crombie has not been disclosed.

Crombie's former spouse Kijner told the media outlet, "He was the kindest most caring, giving, considerate man. He was loved by everybody, generous and never had anything bad to say about anyone."

Bill Stetz, who one of Peter's close pals, described Peter as "a gentle and loyal friend of soft words and expressive work as an actor and a writer".

Throughout the course of his incredible career, Crombie appeared in several TV shows as well as films.

Crombie was well-noted for essaying the character of Crazy Joe Davola in the beloved sitcom 'Seinfeld'. He was seen in a total of five episodes of Season 4 of the show. 

The storyline of his character revolved around terrorizing, stalking, and threatening Jerry Seinfeld, and having a romantic fling with Elaine at one point. 

Peter appeared in various films such as 'My Dog Skip', 'Natural Born Killers', 'The Blob', 'Se7en', 'Rising Sun', and 'Born on the Fourth of July'.

Over the years, Crombie also spilled his magic on the small screen as well. He was a part of many great television shows. 

Crombie's TV credits include, 'House of Frankenstein', 'NYPD Blue', 'Walker', 'Texas Ranger', 'Diagnosis Murder', 'Law & Order', 'Perfect Strangers', 'Spenser: For Hire', 'L.A. Law', 'L.A. Firefighters' and many others.
