The legendary gospel singer-songwriter LaShun Pace died after a long battle with kidney failure. Her death was confirmed by her family on Monday, March 21. She was sixty years old. A member of the Grammy-nominated Sibling Gospel Group, The Anointed Pace Sisters, died after being on dialysis for five years.

LaShun was quite popular in the music industry. She made people fall in love with her gospel song and nightingale voice. The 'I Know I've Been Changed" hitmaker was also pursuing a solo career in addition to working with the group. Indeed, her song 'Act Like You Know' piqued the interest of TikTok users, who quickly turned a snippet from the song into a new trend. Her death comes months after it was revealed that her sister and mother had also died. The news of LaShun's death was announced on her official Instagram account. The post read, “Official announcement from the Pace Family. Please keep @loveaarion and the entire family in prayer. Official details to follow.”

Her daughter, Aarion Mychkiel Rhodes, shared the same image on her own page, mourning her mother's death with a caption "My beautiful mommy..." along with a broken heart emoji.



 

The well-known gospel sibling group, which was formed in Atlanta's Poole Creek neighborhood in the 1970s, consisted of nine sisters who performed in church and local talent shows before rising to gospel stardom.

Many people have since paid their respects to LaShun. Recording artist William Murphy commented on the post, “We love you family, and The Church will be present, to properly honor this gift of a Queen woman…” A user commented on LaShun's post, “Oh nooooooo💔😢 I was hoping it wasn’t true🙏🏾❣️,” while another user wrote, “Sending My Prayers & Condolences.” “Prayers of Comfort and Strength God be their guide,” a third user commented.

Atlanta journalist Larry Reid posted, "We have lost one of the baddest sopranos to ever walk this earth... The Pace Sisters recently loss their sister songbird Duranice Pace and Mom Pastor Betty Pace. Pray for them and all of us who will mourn this loss."



 

The Anointed Pace Sisters' nine sisters include LaShun Pace, Melonda Pace, Latrice Pace, Lydia Pace, Dejuaii Pace, Duranice Pace, June Pace-Martin, Leslie Pace, and Phyllis Pace.

LaShun Pace was 60 when she died of organ failure while her sister Duranice Pace was 62 at the time of her death. However, the age of the other seven siblings remains unknown for now.
