Marin, who was born in Germany, was later raised in Madrid after his family relocated when he was 12 years old. He starred in multiple stage productions, including Les Misérables, Beauty and the Beast, Grease, and Peter Pan. Marin joined Il Divo in 2003 after Simon Cowell discovered him. As part of the successful partnership, the group released as many as ten studio albums, which have sold more than 30 million units.
