In his career, Dennard spent time with the New York Giants, and most recently the Green Bay Packers in 2014, in addition to playing with the Jaguars in 2012. He also played cornerback during the 2015 season for the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. After the 2012 NFL Draft, the Jaguars signed Dennard as an undrafted free agent, and at the end of training camp, they added him to the practice squad. The Arena Football League was where he finished off his professional football career in the end. Dennard played four seasons of NAIA football at Langston University, Oklahoma, before joining the NFL.

Social media was devasted after learning about the death of the NFL player. Many took to Twitter to express their grief and offer their condolences.
