With only a few days remaining for the release of ‘House of the Dragons’, HBO is not leaving any stone unturned to create more and more excitement in the hearts of viewers. However, it seems the network is in no mood to stop at all. The network recently shared a new poster for the upcoming fantasy drama series focusing on House Targaryen and its monumental fall.

The newest poster from the ‘Game of Thrones’ prequel series sees Matt Smith’s Prince Daemon Targaryen giving an intense look and ready for war. The poster also features a fire-breathing dragon in the background and it is undoubtedly the best look at one of the flying beasts. The caption reads, “The Dragon Dynasty”. Although it's really hard to figure out which dragon is featured on the poster, given Daemon is also featured, it’s probably safe to assume that this is his dragon Caraxes, who is also known as Blood Wyrm. Daemon is not the only Targaryen to ride the beast. Before him, it was Prince Aemon Targaryen who rode the dragon and used him in several battles. That’s why during the ‘Dance of the Dragons’, he was huge, formidable, fearsome, and one of the most experienced dragons in battle.

Even though fans loved the poster and were really excited to see a better look at the Dragons, they are just hoping that the show to be better than the last season of ‘Game of Thrones’. One of the fans wrote, “Please, make it better than Game of Thrones’. Another excited fan wrote, “We are ready”. Another fan wrote, “These five remaining days will be like centuries”. Another social media user applauded how Caraxes looked on the poster and tweeted, “Caraxes, my boy looking pretty”. Meanwhile, another fan pointed out how this show has big shoes to fill. He wrote, “Absolutely no pressure. But you got a big legacy to live up to here”.

The poster has surely ramped up the curiosity among the viewers and they can’t wait to see how different the upcoming show is going to be from its predecessor, ‘Game of Thrones’. Set 200 years ago before the event of ‘GOT’, the ‘House of the Dragon’ sees House Targaryen ruling Westeros and being the biggest and the baddest kingdom in the entire world. It is the story of how the civil war turned a formidable kingdom into ruins.

The series sees Emma D’Arcy playing the role of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen in the show, while Matt Smith portrays Prince Daemon Targaryen. Other actors to feature in the show include Paddy Considine (King Viserys I Targaryen), Olivia Cooke (Lady Alicent Hightower), Steve Toussaint (Lord Corlys Velaryon), Eve Best (Princess Rhaenys Velaryon), and Sonoya Mizuno (Mysaria).
