'Game of Thrones' prequel 'House of the Dragon'
The HBO series is based on parts of the novel 'Fire & Blood', written by George RR Martin. The series storyline is set about 200 years before the events of 'Game of Thrones' and 172 years before the birth of Daenerys Targaryen. It portrays the beginning of the end of House Targaryen, the events leading up to and covering the Targaryen war of succession, known as the Dance of the Dragons. It was released on Sunday, August 21, 2022, and airs every Sunday on HBO.
Marvel's 'She-Hulk: Attorney at Law'
Jennifer Walter (Tatiana Maslany) has a complicated life as a single attorney in her 30s who also becomes the 6-foot 7-inch green superhero 'She-Hulk' when she goes on a trip with her cousin Bruce Banner, the Hulk and he gets a cut on his arm following a car accident, so naturally, when Walter tries to cater to him she gets infused with the Gamma chemical. The Marvel series airs every Monday on Disney+ and you may see a couple of old faces from Marvel in the series.
'Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power'
The series' storyline is set thousands of years before the events of 'The Hobbit,' and 'The Lord of the Rings', and is based on author JRR Tolkien's history of Middle-earth. It begins during a time of relative peace and covers all the major events of Middle-earth's Second Age: the forging of the Rings of Power, the rise of the Dark Lord Sauron, the fall of the island kingdom of Númenor, and the last alliance between Elves and Men. These events take place over thousands of years in Tolkien's original stories but are condensed for the series. The series is all set to release on Thursday, September 1, 2022, exclusively on Amazon Prime.
Star Wars' 'Andor'
Star Wars' 'Andor' is also a prequel to the 'Star Wars' spin-off film 'Rogue One'. The series follows thief-turned-Rebel spy Cassian Andor during the five years before the events of the film. The series releases on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, on Disney+.
