Further building on his strange and eccentric world, Hobo Johnson has shared the music video for his new single 'Father', from the Sacramento artiste’s critically acclaimed full-length debut 'The Rise of Hobo Johnson'.

The clip for 'Father' continues what’s becoming a tradition of unpredictable and undeniable visuals for Johnson. Rapid editing mirrors his topsy-turvy cadence and thought-provoking adlibs underscored by stirring piano chords. It’s yet another illustration of his dynamic persona and quirky vision. Watch the video below:

With his wild hair, pin-thin mustache, and penchant for offbeat janky production, Northern California’s Johnson (born Frank Lopes Jr.) went from performing on the street to entrenching himself in the Sacramento music scene by grinding at countless open mics as Soundcloud streams crept into hundreds of thousands. With a hybrid of hip-hop, punk, folk, and poetry, Johnson shares tales of suburban mythos and malaise, which come to fruition on his debut LP 'The Rise of Hobo Johnson'.

Johnson recently delivered a standout live performance for the coveted NPR Tiny Desk series. Joined by his band The Lovemakers, he ignited the tracks 'Romeo & Juliet', 'Sex in the City', 'Peach Scone', and 'Creve Coeur 1'. To date, it has generated over one million views and continues to climb. Check out the full NPR performance below:
