Bryan Baeumler is one stressed man. After taking on the ambitious project of renovating an old, rundown resort on a remote island in the Bahamas, he has been greeted by way too many setbacks and roadblocks. On the latest episode of 'Renovation Island', we saw Bryan finally turning his fortune around. He successfully managed to make significant progress with the renovation work. He and his crew managed to tackle the plumbing work and are now ready to take on the electrical work.

But while doing plumbing, they realize that they need to change the flooring of the resort. He removed the old floors and replaced it with wooden flooring. Despite being an expert and veteran of the construction and flipping world, Bryan made a major mistake when it came to deciding on the material for the floor. He opted for the regular wooden flooring, as opposed to tiles, which are best suited for the island weather.

Considering the proximity to water, the usage of wood for flooring might not be the best pick. As wood will corrode in no time, as opposed to tiles which can withstand the proximity to water. Several fans took to their social media to point out to Bryan his mistake. A fan tweeted, "You put hardwood flooring in a hut on a tropical island? There's a reason why we all have tile down here. Js #RenovationIsland."

Another fan shared, "You never want to see water inside on all of your newly finished work. #RenovationIsland #OnHGTV." "Soooo these people do realize the hotel is in this state because it’s constantly battered by hurricanes, right? They’re going to be rebuilding every 4-8 years. I’ve never heard them mention one precautionary measure they’re taking. #RenovationIsland," pointed out a fan.  Considering the whopping amount of money they are shelling out for renovating the resort, they should have invested in tiles instead, to save themselves from future flooring issues.

'Renovation Island' follows Sarah and Bryan Baeumler, who purchased an old, rundown resort in a remote island on the Bahamas with the hopes of renovating it into a tourist hotspot. The show documents their renovation adventures and how they overcome each of the obstacles that come in the way of renovating a huge space.

'Renovation Island' airs every Sunday at 8 pm only on HGTV.
