'He's got some learning to do': Internet slams Akon for his 'we're Gods' comment on gender equality

Calling men 'the divine kings of universe,' Akon said men are capable of making babies and that just sperm and an incubator are all that is needed

ATLANTA, GEORGIA: In a shocking rant about gender equality, Akon claimed that men are superior to women as they are only created to support them and that social media shut down his outdated views. Calling men "the divine kings of the universe," the rapper recently made his bizarre comment on 'The Joe Budden Podcast'. "We're gods, we are the ones that create life," he said while he shockingly explained that even without women, men are capable of making babies claiming that just sperm and an incubator are all that is needed.

Stressing upon gender roles in a relationship, the 49-year-old singer referred to women in Africa and said, "The women [there] treat you like a man, like a king. They aren't competing with you or fighting for equality because they understand that men and women could never be equal. They understand their roles." He added, "The roles there are very defined and very clean, here even if you say the word role to a woman. If I say, if you play your role and you play mine - they say, what the f**k you mean play my role? what role?"

"Everybody has a role that is the infrastructure to life and if her woman doesn't understand the position that she plays in life, everybody is confused. How can a man and women play the exact same role, where's the balance? In Africa it's very clear, the woman plays the role of the woman," he continued in his rant against women.

Shocked at Akon's rant on gender roles, the internet slammed the rapper for his views on gender roles and procreation. One social media user wrote, "What a loser. Men need women and women need men. No one is better than the next and no one is beneath the other," and another wrote, "He didn’t learn that humans come from fertilizing eggs too."

"Looks like Akon missed an Anatomy & Physiology class. Since when did a sperm cell have the capability to develop into a baby without fertilizing an egg?," a user wrote while someone tweeted, "What type of Star Trek incubator is he talking about" and another remarked, "He’s got some learning to do I’d say."

"Akon, that’s not how incubators work. Please stop talking," one user wrote and another reacted, "Somebody please lock this man back up I’m pretty sure it’s illegal to be this dumb."

"He is a special kind of ignorant," someone opined while another tweeted, "One of the dumbest statements I’ve ever heard come from @Akon read a book bro, you are embarrassingly wrong! Lol." Social media users also pointed out the podcaster's not responding to Akon's statements and wrote, "So… everyone sitting there, are they dumbfounded or just as stupid?" and another opined, "I am flabbergasted! Akon. Sweetie. How do you not know how making babies work? Imagine being this loud and wrong in public?! Please find shame."
