LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Victoria Alonso, the veteran high-profile executive producer for Marvel Studios has left after working for the production company for 17 long years. Alonso has been in the Marvel Studios since the first Avengers movie 'Iron Man' came out. She has seen the studio grow into a brand, from having an office above a Mercedes-Benz dealership in Beverly Hills to being acquired by Disney. During her tenure in the production company, the Marvel Cinematic Universe became the highest-grossing franchise in the history of cinema.

Alonso joined the company back in 2006, two years before Marvel graced the audience with its first production film, 'Iron Man' which came out in 2008. Alonso helped launch the movie and was also the co-producer of the film. She also served as co-producer on 'Iron Man 2' (2010), 'Thor' (2011), and 'Captain America: The First Avenger' (2011). With her remarkable contribution, Alonso was titled as executive producer of 'The Avengers' (2012).

She went to work on films such as 'Big Fish' (2003), which was nominated for Best Special Visual Effects at the 57th British Academy Film Awards. In 2021, Alonso was promoted to President of Physical, Post Production, VFX, and Animation at Marvel Studios. Alonso had a great career working at Marvel Studios, witnessing and being a part of many movies that changed the course of cinema and created a benchmark for superhero films. After Marvel was acquired by Disney, Alonso also worked as the executive producer for 'Loki' series.

Who will take over VFX and Animation at Marvel Studios?

The reasons for the exit are unclear, but it sure does bring an ocean of controversies that point out the obvious, that the exit is coming soon after 'Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania' flopping at the box office. Although the reasons for leaving haven't been revealed to the media yet, we have nothing but a bunch of assumptions and questions. While it's not yet revealed as to who would be taking Alonso's place.
