Meet the new Avengers who will be replacing Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr’s OG heroes

While the ongoing Phase 4 has been criticized much, there are still a bunch of superheroes primed to make the Avengers roster in the long run.

With Marvel Studios announcing its Phase 5 and 6 lineups during the San Diego Comic-Con, which includes two 'Avengers' movies, it's interesting to see who the new (and some old) brand of earth's mightiest heroes are. 'Avengers: Endgame' saw the death of Tony Stark's Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr) and Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson). Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans) handed over his shield to Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), while Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Bruce Banner/Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) are still around. Thor (Chris Hemsworth) just lost his love Jane Foster to cancer, but he's there to save the world.

Supporting the OG Avengers over the course of Phases 2 and 3 were the Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, Ant-Man and Spider-Man, and some antagonist-turned heroes. The late Chadwick Boseman who played T-Challa/Black Panther was a vital cog in the third phase, but his passing will see Marvel find a suitable successor. While the ongoing Phase 4 has been criticized much, there are still a bunch of superheroes primed to make the Avengers roster in the long run. Simu Liu's Shang-Chi and the Eternals (minus a few big names ) will make the cut as will the Fantastic Four.

There's still that question mark over Wanda Maximoff's (Elizabeth Olsen) survival after 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness'. Assuming she pulls through, the Scarlet Witch will join the fold as well. Here's a look at all the new superheroes who would make the cut as the new Avengers.

Sam Wilson as Captain America, Carol Danvers as Captain Marvel, Thor, Guardians of the Galaxy, Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), Monica Rambeau/Photon, Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), Doctor Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Benedict Wong, The Hulk, The Ant-Man and The Wasp, Hawkeye and Kate Bishop, Loki, She-Hulk, Daredevil, Black Panther, Shang-Chi, Fantastic Four and the Eternals. Question marks: Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, Yelena Belova, and some of the West Coast Avengers were introduced over the course of the phases.

What are your thoughts on the new-look Avengers who will assemble by the end of Phase 6?
