'He has a good moral compass': Dave Grohl hailed for cooking 16 hours straight to feed 450 homeless people in LA
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Dave Grohl demonstrated why he is a true rockstar as he recently visited a homeless center in Los Angeles to help out. The 54-year-old musician reportedly went to The Hope Mission in Los Angeles and cooked for 500 people in total, including 450 homeless. It has been said that he reached the place around midnight last Wednesday, February 22, while carrying some overnight gear and a huge meat smoker.
TMZ reported that the founder of the rock band Foo Fighters worked for 16 hours while making brisket, ribs, beans, pork butt, cabbage, and coleslaw. The publication also noted that the cost of the barbeque feast was borne by Grohl. The star also reportedly took some rest in the parking space during the grueling hours.

Chris Moyles‘ inadvertent album announcement
This comes as Radio X DJ Chris Moyles inadvertently announced some news regarding Foo Fighters’ next album earlier this month, causing a lot of commotion. After playing the band’s single ‘Walk', he reportedly said, “I love that song so much – Foo Fighters, and ‘Walk’. They’ve got a new album coming out in, er, March, Foo Fighters… which I’m very much looking forward to.”
But after realizing his mistake, Moyles explained, “I’ve caused a bit of a kerfuffle. I’m in a very uncomfortable cul-de-sac and I don’t really know what to do. I’ve made the website of another radio station!”
He also stated, “I don’t know what to say without getting in trouble, I don’t know what to say without people going, ‘what?’, I don’t know what to say without looking stupid…I don’t know what people want me to say. I think people want me to say, ‘yes, I can’t say anything else, I can’t say anymore but yes, I’m telling you there is a new album coming out in March this year.’ I’m not going to say any of that,” before adding, “Look, all I will say is this. I can’t say anymore…anyway, sorry Dave. I’m really sorry Dave.”
‘A continuation of life’
Meanwhile, Foo Fighters decided to continue their work after their bandmate Taylor Hawkins’ death in March last year. “Foo Fighters were formed 27 years ago to represent the healing power of music and a continuation of life. For the past 27 years, our fans have built a worldwide community, a devoted support system that has helped us all get through the darkest of times together,” they said in a statement at the time.
“A place to share our joy and our pain, our hopes and fears, and to join in a chorus of life together through music. Without Taylor, we never would have become the band that we were - and without Taylor, we know that we're going to be a different band going forward,” it added.
