Spoilers for 'The Third Day' Season 1 Episode 2 'Saturday - The Son'

HBO's 'The Third Day' is unlike most psychological dramas. The series, which stars Jude Law, Katherine Waterston, Paddy Considine, Emily Watson, Naomie Harris and John Dagleish, follows these lives on the eerie Osea Island. With two episodes in, the storyline might seem slow and unending but the series focuses on themes of loss, death, pain, and regret.

Created by writer Dennis Kelly and Felix Barrett, and directed by Marc Munden (first three episodes 'Summer') and Philippa Lowthorpe (the latter three episodes 'Winter'), the show is clearly meant to leave audiences feeling unsettled and anxious. And it seems to be working. Although many people find the show to be disturbing in parts, they cannot help but stay get glued on to the chaos that remains hidden at Osea Island.

And now, with two episodes in, fans of the show cannot stop recommending it to anyone and everyone. "If ya'll are into trippy suspense dramas, I definitely recommend 'The Third Day' on HBO. This show feels like i'm on drugs every episode," tweeted a fan. Jude Law's Sam suddenly arrives on the island and then cannot seem to get out of there. One of the other strange things begin to happen, leading to even bizarre encounters with strangers as a sense of dread and deja vu hangs over the series. And while it is a tense show to indulge in, fans of the new series cannot seen to step away. "Finding 'The Third Day' enthralling, but it's making my anxiety go next level," tweeted a fan. As it explores themes of death, loss, pain and grief, 'The Third Day' does it with haunting visuals, a spooky soundtrack that goes perfectly along with it and creepy characters one cannot bring to trust. Each element of the show seems to eerily complement the other to produce a hallucinatory, mind-boggling series.

"So far 'The Third Day' (HBO) is pretty damn mesmerizing. Interesting deliberately disjointed mystery. Beautiful imagery and some inventive camera work it took some time to adjust to, but then started creating greater character interiority. Concerned about those bloody meat scraps," a fan tweeted.
