Bravo cancels ‘RHOM’ after seven seasons and the reason is disappointing
'The Real Housewives of Miami' hasn't had an easy time. The Miami-based entry of the popular franchise centers on the personal and professional lives of women in or around Miami, Florida. It premiered on Bravo in February 2011 and was cancelled after Season 3. However, eight years later, in December 2021, the series was revived for Season 4 on Peacock. Two seasons after that, it returned to Bravo for Seasons 6 and 7. The show's last season, the seventh chapter, began on June 11, 2025, and concluded with the reunion special on October 16. Since then, there has been no news of Season 8 or any official announcement of the show's cancellation.
A source confirmed that Bravo has paused the series for the time being. In February, Andy Cohen shed light on the show's future on Radio Andy. "I love Miami. I think we’re looking at how to keep it as fresh as possible, and that’s kind of the only story. You have to remember! We’ve got … nine Housewives going right now, so what you don’t want is something sitting on the shelf so long. I always think there’s a benefit in waiting. If there’s no rush to get it on the air, I always think there’s a benefit in waiting, and then when it comes back, everyone’s like, 'Oh my god! How great it’s finally back," he said.
He gave examples of 'The Real Housewives of New York City' and 'Atlanta,' which benefited from being benched for a while. "It’s been at least a year since that last [RHONY] reunion, at least, and there was a period [with] Atlanta seasons that was a year, or something like that." 'RHOM' has been the least-watched chapter in the 'Real Housewives' series and has struggled with declining viewership for several years. The last few seasons have received mixed reception for their content.
In its last outing, 'RHOM' featured a mostly Latina cast, comprising Larsa Pippen, Alexia Nepola, Guerdy Abraira, Lisa Hochstein, Julia Lemigova, Adriana De Moura, Marysol Patton, Kiki Barth, and newcomer Stephanie Shojaee. Moreover, Lemigova, who is married to tennis superstar Martina Navratilova, was Bravo’s first full-time LGBTQ cast member. Season 7 will be remembered for the time when Adriana accused her former BFF, Julia, of cheating on her wife with a 'Haitian mortician' during one of the reunion episodes. Julia accepted that the situation had happened, but clarified that it was before she married Martina. 'RHOM' is executive-produced by the reunion host Andy Cohen, Matt Anderson, Nate Green, Maty Buss, Cooper Green, Bill Fritz, and James Brangert.
