'They made O look stupid': Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's absence at Oprah's birthday bash sparks rumor
MONTECITO, CALIFORNIA: Eagle-eyed watchers who have been critical of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s series of wild accusations about the royal family have often noted that their open admissions would be their downfall - and it seems as though it has begun. A recent party hosted by Anastasia Soare, founder of Anastasia Beverly Hills, in celebration of the 25th anniversary of her company and TV mogul Oprah Winfrey's birthday had many A-list stars in attendance, namely Kim Kardashian Sharon Stone and Jennifer Lopez.
But the absence of the Sussexes was apparent and it has now led to speculation if they have fallen out of favor with Winfrey, who is believed to have left them out of the guest list. It has been reported by Honey Nine that all the never-ending accusations by the former working royals have left Hollywood royalty wary of the couple, leading to them being sidelined.

The Sussexes and Winfrey go way back
Oprah Winfrey’s first association with the Sussex camp had come to light when she attended their royal wedding at Westminster Abbey in 2018. Two years later in 2020, the couple chose to step down from their duties and had given their first bombshell interview to Winfrey.
In that interview, they had accused the firm of being racist and also inquiring about their son Archie’s skin color. According to People, Meghan had later said about the interview, "I thought that me being very open about the depression that I experienced and just how extreme that became, I thought that would be the biggest takeaway.”
Has Oprah sidelined Harry and Meghan?
"Word on the street is that Harry and Meghan aren’t invited anywhere because all eyes would be on them, and it would distract from the cause or event " a PR expert told FOX News. ”The reality is that they are seen as drama. They are also considered untrustworthy and a private conversation you have with them could end up repeated on a podcast, a reality show, or within a book."
It would seem that this may have led to Oprah keeping the Sussexes at arm’s length. "Snubs like this show that the tide is turning with the Sussexes- and that the gamble that saw them trade in the lifelong duty of being working royalty for the money and fame of being celebrities hasn't paid off,” Kara Kennedy wrote on The Spectator.
She says that it seems obvious that Oprah has kept them away because they ‘made her look stupid.’ In their tell-all interview, the conversations about the royal family being racist was the highlight, but Prince Harry has gone on to turn the tables on those conversations and said that he never suggested anything as such in his recent sit down with Anderson Cooper. Kennedy claims that Oprah’s interview with them was, "Harry and Meghan's campaign to finish off the British monarchy-and they used Oprah as a pawn."
