MONTECITO, CALIFORNIA: In their new documentary which was released on Netflix on Thursday, December 8, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have recounted how they first met. According to the docu-series, Harry "had a list" of qualities he was seeking in a partner when he met Meghan.

The pair met in July 2016, just as Meghan received confirmation for a new season of 'Suits' but was about to go on a summer vacation with pals. She stated, "I was really intent on being single and just having friend time. I had my career, I had my life, I had my path. And then came H. Talk about a plot twist."

According to Harry, "Meghan and I met through Instagram, I was scrolling through my feed and someone who was a friend had a video of the two of them on Snapchat, with dog ears. I was like, 'Who is that?'"

Meghan continued, "That's what he saw of me. It's ridiculous. [My friend] sent me an email saying, 'I know you said you're single, but a friend of mine would like to meet you. It's Prince Haz.' I said, 'Who's that?' I asked if I could see his feed. People say, 'Did you Google him?' No. That's your homework, not what other people are saying about them, what are they putting out about themselves? So I went through, and it was just beautiful photography and all these environmental shots and this time he was spending in Africa."

They exchanged phone numbers and agreed to meet. They met at Wimbledon and then went on a date. Silver Tree, Meghan's friend, stated, "Meghan text me from London and said 'Silver, you're not going to believe this' and that she was going to go out on a date with him, and we thought it was really funny. In what world does this happen?"

Meghan stated that they first met at 76 Dean Street. He was running late. She couldn't figure out why he was late. "He kept texting I didn't know him, so I thought 'This is what he's about, a guy with so much of an ego that any girl would sit around waiting for you'." She giggled as she remembered, "Then he walked in all sweaty, so embarrassed and late. He was just so fun and that was the thing, we were like childlike together."

Harry stated, "I was panicking, freaking out, so sweaty. We had a great chat for about an hour."

Meghan excused herself after an hour, explaining to Harry she had other commitments. She stated, "And then I called him that evening and said, 'I'm leaving the day after tomorrow, do you want to have dinner tomorrow night?' I'm sure he told me that was so forward and American. We went and had dinner in the same place."

Meghan was late this time, dashing in after a shower following another day at Wimbledon. But they got along so well that they said, "My gosh, we're going to give it a go."

"He had a list of all the things he was looking for," Meghan explained. "This is the list," Harry adds, pointing to Meghan. "This woman is amazing," Harry remarked, "she's everything I've been looking for, she's so comfortable in my company."

Part I of 'Harry & Meghan' is streaming now on Netflix and Part II will be dropping on December 15.
