Prince Harry WON'T be allowed to wear uniform at King Charles' coronation, military historian claims
LONDON, ENGLAND: Prince Harry might not be permitted to wear military attire, which could lead him to "uniform humiliation" at King Charles III's coronation, according to an expert. The Duke of Sussex did say that he will be at the historic coronation on May 6, but he would be by himself since Meghan and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, would be staying at their California home.
Royal observers are already debating the prince's outfit and whether or not he will be able to participate in the processions to Westminster Abbey. Dr Peter Johnston, a military historian, said on True Royalty TV's 'The Royal Beat' that despite having served two tours in Afghanistan, Harry might have to honor his service in a different way.

Who is Dr Peter Johnston?
Dr Peter Johnston, a military historian and curator with a focus on the British Army since 1945 and experience in military culture, veterans, and propaganda, is the head of collections research and academic access at the National Army Museum in London. Johnston has been employed there since 2014 and was previously in charge of overseeing the curatorial teams working on the new exhibits as part of the GBP25 million redevelopment of the Museum, as per Wob.
'Harry won't wear uniform'
"I imagine Harry won't wear uniform [at the Coronation]," he stated. "Even as a veteran who did two tours in Afghanistan, he won't wear uniform. I imagine he'll wear his medals but quite where he fits within the procession and where he comes, I think will be probably reasonably similar to where he was at the funeral as well." The historian went on to say that Harry will "be a part of it, but not necessarily, a [leading] part of it."
According to reports, Prince Harry will be in the UK only for the coronation and will forego any further royal activities, such as a concert on May 7, in order to spend time with his family in America.
