Bindi's decade-long battle with endometriosis
The news comes only a few weeks after Bindi said she needed to go to the United States for serious endometriosis surgery. In a lengthy Instagram post, the daughter of the late Steve 'the Crocodile Hunter' Irwin revealed for the first time about her decade-long battle with the disease.
She said she had spent 10 years "ripped apart [by] the anguish" and knew she had to undergo surgery because she 'couldn't live as I was' in a frightening photo of herself in a hospital bed following the procedure. She described how the Seckin Endometriosis Center in New York City surgeon had removed 37 lesions and a 'chocolate cyst,' a phrase for a cyst filled with menstrual blood.
