All good things must come to an end and it seems the makers of the ‘Halloween’ franchise have finally realized that it’s better to end the series on a high rather than become obsolete. David Gordon Green reinvented the franchise in 2018 and gave two spectacular movies, but it’s time for him to finally say goodbye to the mask-wearing evil. The makers have finally released the first trailer for the final movie in the ‘Halloween’ franchise, titled ‘Halloween Ends’, and it’s certainly everything that fans wanted it to be.

The eerie footage starts with a glimpse of Haddonfield and someone climbing the stairs of Laurie Strode’s (Jamie Lee Curtis) house. It turns out that Michael Myers (Nick Castle) has returned and just like always, wants to kill Strode. But Strode is ready and points a gun at him when he pushes the door to attack her. "Come on, let’s go", says Strode as both characters get ready for the final act and they don’t care if things go out of hand.

The rest of the clip is a montage of scenes that culminates with the long-awaited battle between Michael and Laurie. The trailer ends with Laurie saying, “Come, get me. Mother f****r” as Michael tries to shove hear hand into the garbage disposal. The footage does good work in not giving major spoilers about the battle that these two will have and continues to make everyone curious about how things are going to end for Laurie and Michael. As soon as the trailer for the 13th installment in the ‘Halloween’ franchise dropped online, fans flooded social media with extraordinary reactions and said they can’t wait for this “no holds barred” fight.

One of the fans wrote, “Mentally, I’ve already purchased the tickets for that Thursday night screening. LETS GOOOOOOO.” Another fan said, “Looks so damn good. Giving a very Halloween 4 vibe with its gothic atmosphere.” Another social media user tweeted, “Speechless. It looks like the Halloween movie of my dreams since '78.” Meanwhile, one of the fans loved the shots that were similar to the shots featured in the original movie and can’t wait for the movie to arrive in theatres. The user said, “Looks like we get some more of the epic callback footage like we saw them create perfectly in the last one! I’m down for it!”

On the other hand, some fans hope that the movie gives a befitting closure to a menacing franchise. The fan tweeted, “Yessss can’t wait. I hope this is the final film for the franchise for good. Every story deserves a good closure. 1978-2022.” Another fan tweeted, “#HalloweenEnds trailer is actually eating, hopefully, this one makes up for the mistakes Halloween Kills made.”

“Wow. First of all, I love that Laurie is wearing what looks like the same clothes as in the original. Love the stalking through the house. Felt more like the original. Hope it is good, although I have heard some strange things about the movie itself,” said another user. “I have a feeling the last Halloween film will just be a bloody fist fight to the death. No holds barred cage match,” said another one.

The 2018 movie, entitled ‘Halloween’, turned out to be a smashing hit at the box office and even critics hailed it as one of the best in the franchise. The movie went on to become the highest-grossing slasher movie in history, beating the record set by ‘Scream’ in 1996. However, the second movie in the franchise ‘Halloween Kills’ didn’t live up to the hype and received mixed reviews.

There are a lot of expectations from the final movie in the franchise and the trailer has promised that it would be a banger of a movie.
