'Halloween 2018': New poster unveiled ahead of SDCC

SDCC is the breeding ground for teasers, posters and trailers for all the movies and tv shows worth watching this year.

Every year fans from all over the country – and even the world – gather at the grounds of SDCC to catch a glimpse of their favorite action stars, get the most exclusive details about their favorite comic books, superhero shows and movies, buy souvenirs of shows and movies they love and even dress up as their favorite characters from the comic book universe. The big studios and production houses never disappoint their fans and make it a point to fulfill their expectations.

This year has been no different, with the likes of Marvel TV and DC entertainment Universe using the platform to showcase and tease with their best content. One of the most exciting movies to look forward to this year is the slasher flick 'Halloween 2018' starring Nick Castle.

In fact, one of the most anticipated panels this year is that of Universal Pictures, which will present the film along with M Night Shyamalan's superhero horror-thriller film 'Glass' - 'Unbreakable' sequel - at Hall H this Friday.

The makers of the film celebrated the biggest grandaddy of annual comics conventions by releasing a brand-new exclusive poster. The exclusive SDCC poster, which was shared on the official Twitter account of the movie, was created by artist Bill Sienkiewicz, who has worked on many DC and Marvel comics.

The photo came with the caption, "It's here! The exclusive SDCC #HalloweenMovie poster by artist Bill @sienkiewiczart. Want to get one? Turn on notifications for @halloweenmovie for updates from #SDCC this weekend."

The poster will also be handed out to the fans who arrive at the studio's booths at the SDCC event. Alternatively, the attendees of the panel would be given a poster in exchange for the ticket at the end of the panel.

Sienkiewicz tweeted, "Excited to unveil this #HalloweenMovie poster for SDCC! Get a free mini-poster when you scan your badge at #SDCC Booth #2614, starting with preview night at 6PM PT!"

It has not been revealed if the posters are limited edition and if there are any ways for fans who do not attend the event to get their hands on them.

Meanwhile, fans are expecting to see a new trailer for the film at the panel, which is sure to see Castle and Jamie Lee Curtis return to reprise their roles as Michael Myers and Laurie Strode.

The upcoming movie, directed by David Gordon Green has John Carpenter, who directed the original horror classic, on board as an executive producer. 'Halloween 2018' will serve as a direct sequel to the original and is set to arrive in theaters on October 19.
