Hailey Bieber's dad Stephen Baldwin forced to sell house to pay off mortgage despite millionaire daughter
ROCKLAND COUNTY, NEW YORK: Hailey Baldwin’s father Stephen reportedly went through quite a difficult time six years back that saw him giving up on his Rockland County home, which he and his wife, Kennya, purchased for $812,500 back in 2000. It has been said that in 2017, he was struggling so badly financially that he even went to his brother, Alec Baldwin, and other family members for help.
As per RadarOnline.com, ‘The Usual Suspects’ actor “needed $1.1 million to keep from losing his house,” after being sued by Deutsche Bank in 2013. The pair had allegedly backtracked on the nearly $7,000-monthly mortgage. He apparently thought of borrowing money from his elder sibling Alec since his worth was $65 million at the time. But things did not turn out the way he expected.

‘They're still at odds over politics’
An insider spilled, “Alec won't give him an answer — he may think Stephen needs to learn a lesson, or maybe they're still at odds over politics.” It has been said that Stephen is a staunch supporter of former President Donald Trump, but ‘The Boss Baby’ star has a visceral aversion to the former president and had done a satirical impression of him on ‘Saturday Night Live’.
Besides, the 56-year-old also apparently failed at dismissing the suit and could not prove that the bank lacked a "clear chain of title for the mortgage and promissory note.” But despite all these, he did not go to his model daughter, who is worth more than $20 million, for money. The insider added, “He wouldn't do that. That would kill his pride. No man wants to borrow money from his 20-year-old daughter.”
‘Be nice to everyone’
This old family drama comes to the surface as Hailey has found herself engulfed in controversies. As per Page Six, early in 2023, the 26-year-old made a video online, which showed her mimicking audio, “I’m not saying she deserved it, but God’s timing is always right.” Fans of Selena Gomez, who was earlier romantically involved with Justin Bieber, believed that Justin’s current wife was hinting toward the singer since it was the same time when trolls had made fun of her.
Later, Gomez reportedly said of the video, “It’s OK! I don’t let these things get me down! Be nice to everyone!” But the alleged feud did not end there as last month, it was reported that Hailey and her friend Kylie Jenner again took a dig at ‘The Heart Wants What It Wants’ singer. Eventually, Gomez announced that she was taking a break from social media and stated, “I’m very happy, I’m so blessed. I have the best friends and the best fans in the whole world and I just couldn’t be happier. I’m good, I love the way I am, I don’t care.”
“And yeah, I’m gonna be taking a second from social media ’cause this is a little silly and I’m 30. I’m too old for this. I love you guys so much and I will see you guys sooner than later. I just have to take a break from everything,” she added.
