LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a candid conversation with Vogue's new weekly podcast, Hailey Bieber spoke about her mental and physical health, which was adversely affected after a mini-stroke. After experiencing stroke-like symptoms, she was hospitalized last year, where a blood clot was discovered in her brain.

Speaking about the "scariest" experience, Hailey opened up about struggling with a little PTSD in 'The Run-Through With Vogue' podcast released on Friday, January 7. The Rhode Beauty founder said, “I struggled with a lot of anxiety after, I struggled with a little bit of PTSD of just, like, the fear of maybe it was gonna happen again. It was just a feeling that I was, like, I never want to experience that ever again. It was so terrifying, so jarring, so discombobulating in every single way that you could imagine.”

Hailey's health condition

Hailey, the 26-year-old model married to famed musician Justin Bieber, revealed that the mini-stroke she suffered was “definitely the scariest thing" she has ever gone through. She explained that the medical emergency took place while she was in Palm Springs last March and talked about returning back to the area and even for the podcast as it is “very triggering” for her mental health.

She continued saying, “Even the first couple of times coming back here was a little bit of a strange triggering kind of feeling for me because you just remember exactly how everything happened in that moment. But I think the bright side for me is that it led me to find out I had this hole in my heart.”

After she was diagnosed with a hole in her heart after the mini-stroke, Hailey talked about undergoing surgery to mend the hole, and a month after she was hospitalized following the stroke-like symptoms.

The former 'Drop the Mic' host revealed that said she has now gradually begun to ignore what could happen to her health in the future and has optimistically decided to live her life again. “I look back at it and it could’ve been so much worse,” she said. “So many worse things could have happened in that moment.”

In 'Telling my story', a YouTube video, Hailey said the medical experts found that a transient ischemic attack was caused by a blood clot that traveled to her brain. “I’m really relieved I will be able to just move on from this really scary situation and live my life,” she said at the time.
